😍Look at my big boys😍
(Eli and Lionel from Oct. 2023)
Thank you so much Becky Bishop for being the bestest horsey step-mom and taking such good care of them ❤️

When I brought my boys back from their 30 day horror stay in KY I was so disappointed in myself for having allowed them to be in the care of someone who neglected and beat (as I’ve come to learn) them.

I was offered a helping hand while we closed on a land deal (that I back out of as the sellers were far too sketchy) and moved our farm - and it was anything but helpful. It was an absolute nightmare.
Not only did this person neglect my babies but proceeded to demand that I purchase things (which I did as I was told they were needed and I thought the facility was genuine) but then harassed and verbally abused me after my c-section making me so sick I stopped eating and producing milk.

I was so anxiety ridden that I couldn’t sleep. My entire back and spine locked up and I went into a seizure like state. My blood pressure was elevated, my incision would not heal, and then I had to make an emergency drive to KY to load everyone up and see this monster face to face during the Thanksgiving / Christmas holiday.

That person is now on the run to evade authorities, charges, and child services.

I hope that person gets the help they need to become a better human.
Though, it has come to light that they have a lengthy history of hoarding, scamming, conning and neglecting animals.

It was so hard to trust another person with any of my babies but I knew Becky was the right human and she has not let any of us down 🩷
The proof is in the pictures, I cannot believe how far these two have come since November 😍

👋🏻 Hey everyone!!
As many of you have heard from Emily I have joined her and Becky up at NY Last Chance Horse Bail-out Relief & Rescue, Inc !!

I am VERY excited to be making this move for a lot reasons 😁 when I was a little girl and they asked us in school what do you want to be when you grow up I always said “An Equestrian!!” And then every one asked what that was 😆 I wanted to ride for the USET, but then…
I had a trainer in my teens who told me to get a real job, so I did - in healthcare and I amassed a wealth of knowledge doing so. Then I retired just before 30 and felt lost 😔

So here I am, we tried moving our family and the universe said not yet. I think I was meant to cross paths with Emily and Becky.

I want to offer a HUGE and heartfelt thank you to Emily Bailey-Bevacqua for taking a gamble on me and welcoming me up to her place 🩷

So for now, you won’t see too much on this page. But you can follow my shenanigans on 3H Equine Inc and the Bail-out Facebook as I will be solely focused on training and rehabilitation with the 501 adoption horses.

We’ll have our sanctuary one day, just not today.

Love always,
Momma

🌈MAVERICK🌈

“The best horses in Heaven
they have no tail.
This is a rule they all know
without fail.
For when a new horse arrives
with a short cut bob,
they all know that this horse
did a very good job.”

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce Maverick has crossed the rainbow bridge 😔

I spent Wednesday and Thursday with him, he did amazing for the farrier and was pampered with a sponge bath and had his tail braided.
His stall was cleaned and given extra padding, he got a hay hoop and a stall guard so he could feel the breeze and interact with everyone.

He got tons of treats and attention.

Then I left for home. Friday Miss Becky called to let me know he wasn’t looking well and the vet was on her way. When Dr. Bailey called she let me know that he was in heart failure, so I gave the go ahead 😞

Maverick had a grade 5/6 heart murmur that wasn’t allowing for proper blood flow to his extremities and his organs. His body was failing internally, his knees sore from arthritis, and he was ready.

I’m so sorry that you were let down so many times by others. I’m sorry I couldn’t have done more for you.
But I know you knew real love, and your final days reminded you of a time when you were ontop of the world.

So with this we say goodbye to our beloved Maverick, her certainty went to heaven with a bob cut. He did his job, he did it well, and now he can gallop freely once again through the fields 🩷

I would like to send a very special thank you to Becky Bishop, Emily Bailey-Bevacqua, the volunteers at NY Last Chance Horse Bail-out Relief & Rescue, Inc and Dr. Bailey for their help and for loving Maverick and being with him when I couldn’t be.

Not every tale has a happy ending, some are somber.

Love always,
Momma

Here’s to mares 🥂

Mares aren’t always well liked and for the same reasons strong women aren’t.

Opinionated? Those opinions are not without good cause and maybe you can't figure them out or maybe you just don’t like her opinion of you. Change it and she will always be on your side.

Stubborn? She just won’t let you bulldoze her. Treat her with respect and her resilience will be an asset to you.

Difficult? You just can’t handle her. You don’t have what it takes.

Stick with geldings then, and leave the mare for someone who understands her and appreciates the same qualities society has subtlety taught you not to like.

Here’s to mares, to strong women, and to those who CAN and DO appreciate them!
