Danny has trained hundreds of police K9’s in obedience, apprehension, tracking, and scent detection. Only trust your dog with the best. We encourage potential clients to watch our videos of previously trained dogs and are welcome to see our own highly trained dogs in person. We offer private lessons and board & trains. Our goal is for you to succeed with your dog, and we will train you along with

your dog! This lifelong knowledge will benefit you with not only your current dog(s), but also your future dogs!

“Sport dogs won’t bite you for real, they’re only focused on the bite equipment”
Would you…would you like to put your money where your mouth is? 🤣
A common saying is that sport dogs get too focused on equipment and won’t bite someone in real life if their owner needed them to. This may be true for some dogs. But does not apply to our dogs. “Not around here partner, not around here” 🤠

Always proud of K9 Chip and all of his accomplishments in the real world 🌟 he is a Recon son 💪

Our Police Department would like to acknowledge the efforts of the following Officers: Lt. Cole, Officer Kretzschmar, Officer Bryant, Officer Watt, Officer Chase and K-9 Chip for their coordinated efforts in locating a missing elderly man with dementia. With the use of teamwork, deployment of the SHPD drone and K-9 tracking, Officers were able to safely locate the victim in the woods near Van D**e North of 14 Mile Rd.

If it was not for the hard work and due diligence by all of the Officers involved, there was a high likelihood that this individual would not have survived the nearly untravellable thick woods that he was stuck in. Not only was he lost in an area that is not traveled by the public, but he already sustained injuries from being in the woods, as well as he suffered from severe dementia.

These Officers are being recommended for a Life Saving Award through the Sterling Heights Police Department.

Super proud of police K9 Thor and his handler, Officer Cole for doing so well at the USPCA national detector trials! Thor placed 4th overall on vehicle narcotics! Thor is a Recon PSA1 son and Danny spent his first year putting on his foundational training. Love to see these pups flourishing in the real world!

Rex is back and ready to get to work 💪 Rex originally came out when he was much younger, but needed some time to mature before we asked him to get crazy on the bites. Very happy to see he matured beautifully and is a friendly happy Malinois who loves this game. Remember personality IS important!! We want friendly, trustworthy, and predictable protection dogs! Good job Rex 🦖

We’re very proud of Ozai! He’s a 1 year old Dutchie who’s been here for a couple board & trains now! His owner’s focus is PSA and during his stay he has been able to learn and successfully complete the PDC obedience routine on and off leash many times. We’re so excited to see him flourish in PSA! Baby Havoc 🔥 you can tell how excited and happy he is to do this work, and even jumped into this bite. He hung on tight and offered two punch ins at the end. Havoc’s parents have been so committed in his training and have been bringing him here since he was 8 weeks, progressing into this little beast! We build confident hard hitting dogs, who enjoy the work.

We’re excited to show off sweet little Scout! She’s a very shy dog who had started out at another trainer. The other trainer used harsh techniques causing her to shut down and be too nervous to even listen to a command. This is how she’s doing now during her board & train with us! We’re working hard to bring out her happy and excited personality (and increase confidence) while successfully completing commands. We’re grateful her owners took a chance with us and trusted us with their pup! Reach out to learn more about our board and trains! We customize training to you and your dog.

Pretty sure we’d rather hear the fight than a song on this one. We hear a lot of “oh sport dogs won’t bite in real life”, well Recon’s here to change some perceptions (he’s a PSA sport dog). Recon is wearing a muzzle, and the decoy is wearing regular clothes, no bitework equipment. Recon is still attacking and hurting the decoy even though he was hidden and passive (and without the muzzle it would be much worse, we like our decoy, I know it’s hard to believe). All of the visual triggers for a sport dog to bite are gone, proving Recon needs only one word to ruin someone’s day. Obviously we can’t speak for every single bite sport dog, but our goal is building monsters for sport or PPD 😈

We had such a great time this weekend at the Mid-Michigan Pet Expo! We got a chance to work our dogs under heavy distractions, watch this video to see two dogs pulling towards Recon, and he heels by without acknowledging. When Recon is in a focused heel, he’s putting all his trust in Danny because he can’t see anything in front of him, only Danny’s face (poor guy🤣)!!
