We did Magic on Main Street with the horses this weekend. It was Travs official last parade.. had me bawling like a baby...

We did Magic on Main Street with the horses this weekend.

It was Travs official last parade.. had me bawling like a baby. We gave him some pain meds and he was so happy to get to go.

Sam's daughter rode Wrangler, William rode Dreamer, Brody took Chex, and I took Arrow.
Arrow was awesome, he handles things so great.

That youngster has some huggggge shoes to try and fill.
Trav has been the best horse I have ever owned.
We have done thousands of miles together and I love him so much.
If Arrow can become half the horse Trav has been, I will be happy.

I will miss Trav so much.. I know that our time together is coming to it's end and it's killing me emotionally.
I love you so much buddy. I promise to make the time we have left together.. they best that I can.

Thank you for being the best.. for always being so willing and kind.. for allowing so many people to learn from you and getting to enjoy spending time with you.. thank you for being safe and for loving me.. I could not have asked for a better horse to learn from.

So our day didn't quite go as planned yesterday..
I was going to ride Shayla and Brody was going to ride Wrangler.
But Shy was limping.. so last minute we decided to take Chex out on her first trail ride.
She did awesome!!
She only hopped twice when we first started.
But she did 6.7 miles and worked on steering, backing, speed changes, and hills.
She did awesome!
So excited to see this girl on the trail and at the shows next summer.

Wrangler earning his keep lol We had him help plow the arena for the first time the other day. He got over half of it down before he started losing momentum. I'm pretty proud of him.
