This week we say goodbye to our last "home" in Coppell. The lodge, as we called the house next to the office, holds many happy memories for our family and others as we remember Danny's adoption party, many birthday parties and showers, Danny and Dayna's WEDDING! and has been our home away from the farm for the past 10 years. At the end of the month, the new owner's will be bulldozing down both the office and house to make room for new development.
Interestingly, after we leave, the fire department plans to do some training using both buildings, before they are removed...
What a wonderful way to end our legacy of memories here at 296 Freeport Parkway!
Good Bye old friend...Hello Flower Mound! The future home of Alford Media Services and where the NEW "LODGE" is located off Lakeside Pkwy.!

Merry Christmas from Alford family Farm. We have been enjoying some downtime with friends and family and as always preparing for next season. The strawberries are looking good in the field. We have deer fencing around it, which has really helped. We hope each of you enjoy the holidays with family and friends, and look forward to seeing you next year!

Muscadine Grape season here at the farm should start in 2 weeks! We are going to have a great harvest...If you don't know what these kind of grapes are...Google them and you will learn they are a southern grape grown primarily for jelly and wine making. They have a unique sweet and musky flavor with many good health benefits. Thick skinned and quite seedy, they are generally not considered a table grape except to those who grew up eating them, and then they are much loved and quite popular with our southern home-grown customers. We'll keep you posted on exact dates and times. Hope you have enjoyed the summer and wishing everyone a happy and enthusiastic return to school for parents and kids alike!

This Saturday, July 13th will be our last blueberry picking day this year...and what a great season it has been thanks to all of our wonderful customers! God's protection of our crops from wild pigs and hail, the hard work of Michael, Augie, Andrew and Virgillo and the blessing of our faithful friends and family who share about our farm with so many has made this season OUR BEST ONE EVER! But we're not done for the year! We are looking forward to our muscadine grape harvest as well as our pecan harvest...Thank you so much for your support and love of our farm and our mission to produce healthy, chemical free food for our community. God Bless! The Alford Family

Things can change quick here on the farm. With the storms Monday picking is getting very light feel free to come out to grab a few blueberries and ice cream, but don’t expect to get buckets of blueberries.

07/07/2024

Hurricane Beryl will be bringing lots of rain to the farm tomorrow so we are OPEN TODAY from 8-3. We have lots of tomatoes still and our cost for U-Pick is $3/lb.
