Our Story
“Life takes you unexpected places, love brings you Home”.
As an Active duty U.S. Air Force family, Ben and Lea Taylor have traveled all around the world seeing amazing cities, architecture, and historical sites. Yet, no matter where they end up, they always find themselves longing to come home (they grew up in rural Olpe and rural Chase County). They want to watch the Flint Hills on fire, catch a Royals baseball game, and just sit out under the arena lights and watch a rodeo. As their family has grown, the desire to come back to Kansas has increased. When Lea’s younger brother, Linden Stueve approached them with the idea to bring a self-service pet wash to Emporia, they jumped at the opportunity! Dog Tag Pet Wash will serve as the anchor to help them transition back to civilian life.
While attending a leadership class in Western Kansas, Linden was introduced to the self-service dog wash concept. He immediately knew this would be a good fit for Emporia’s Main Street. When Linden is not in a rodeo arena, he can be found at the Pet Wash ensuring everything is running smoothly.
