We still have our Guinea Pig Galore sale going on! It includes two different discounts:

The first discount is that if you adopt a guinea pig with an enclosure the guinea pig will have a 50% discount.

The second is, if you get two guinea pigs, the second one will be 50% off. This is nice if you already have an empty enclosure laying around, as you can easily adopt a new buddy and a plus one. After all, guinea pigs love living in pairs or groups.

Guinea pigs in general make absolutely wonderful pets. They're extremely playful and social, and will easily bond with their owner given enough time. They can learn tricks, be litterbox trained, and will live for several years. They enjoy an assortment of fresh greens, grasses, hay, and pelleted foods.

You can learn more about each of our guinea pigs by stopping by. If you're interested in adopting one today, we are open from 12 to 5.

Have an exotic pet that's acting a little off? It could be because of the weather!

Many Reptiles may become slow and sleepy during the Winter time, even if their enclosure's temperature seems fine. They may enjoy their humidity being bolstered, as Wintry times suck it from the air. We carry terrarium moss, as well as plenty of hides you can turn into a humid hideaway or shelter. Warm water soaks may also get your animal feeling rejuvenated.

If you do notice their terrarium is a bit colder than usual, perhaps upping the wattage on a light or adding a new under tank heater may do the trick. Many lizards, snakes, and even turtles will not show obvious signs if something is wrong, so the earlier you notice lethargy, the easier it is to fix it. Oftentimes a reptile will not eat because they are too cold to digest it properly.

Cold weather can even affect aquatic animals too! Some aquatic turtles and fish may notice their water drop a few degrees. A warmer basking bulb or water heater may do them well! If you notice a turtle refusing to eat or a betta fish acting a little too sluggish, it may be time to look at a nice heater.

Even some rodents might enjoy some extra blankets and beds to feel toastier. We carry plenty of hammocks, houses, and bedding to keep them nice and warm during this sudden snow. While they are Warm-blooded, having extra places to snuggle up is always a bonus!

Princess is still looking for a forever home!

She is a seven year old ball python. While she's a bit shy, she is still pretty handleable and does not bite. Princess comes with her enclosure as well!

Female Ball Pythons will usually need a 40 gallon tank minimum, but most upgrade to a 4x2x2 to maximize their space. They enjoy a higher humidity than most other snakes, and a basking temp of about 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ball pythons make absolutely wonderful pets. They are an extremely popular "first snake", as their care isn't too demanding. Ball pythons are curious, sweet, and very gentle animals.

If you are interested in Princess, feel free to stop by today!

Meet our Fan-Footed Gecko!

This little guy has been at the store for more than a year now, making him most likely around a year and a half old at least. He should be able to live up to 10-15 years old.

Fan-footed geckos are native to northern Africa, which means a desert environment is the most ideal. They do best with a substrate that can be fairly dry, so a mixture of sand and reptisoil or eco earth is ideal. They enjoy a humidity of 40-50%.

Fan-footed geckos enjoy having plenty of verticle space much like other arboreal lizards. It is best for them to have cork to hide in, as well as plenty of rocks and ledges. Day time temperature in their cage should be around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

For food, these guys enjoy insects and should be fed a variety of dubia roaches, crickets, mealworms, and other bugs!

If you are interested in this funny looking lizard, he is still looking for a forever home!

Happy Holidays, everybody!

Just a reminder that we are closed today!
But...

We do have some awesome news! One of our lovely Guinea Pigs decided to give us the best Christmas present of all: babies! And 7 of them!

Usually Guinea Pigs have around 2 - 4 babies, so 7 really is a Christmas Miracle.

These little wintry wonders will be available once they are old enough. This should be within 5 to 7 weeks from now.

Let us know which of these cuties you find the most adorable!

Everyone meet Sammy and Princess!

These two arrived yesterday and are now looking for their forever homes!

Sammy is an albino cornsnake, and Princess is a wild-type ball python. They are both seven years old.

Both of them are very friendly! Sammy is curious and loves to be held. He shows no signs of aggression and will constantly try to look for new places to explore.

Princess is extremely head shy, meaning she does not like having her head or neck touched. Though despite this, she is still perfectly fine with being handled and is pretty interactive if given the chance.

When adopted, they come with their enclosures as well!
