Well, one bucket list item: show at the national specialty ✅ check!
What an awesome, soul satisfying, and wonderful memories/friendships developed, at the ACDCA National Specialty week in Tennessee.
I wish that the original plan had worked out as I missed my friends that I had planned to make the road trip and extra memories with, but we have more shows and memories ahead of us that I am looking forward to! So, keep that on the forefront. 🫶🏻☺️
I was blessed with a dog that saves me everyday. He is not the best in the word, but he means the world to me.
“Gavin”, “GCHS CH Royal’s Greatest Love Story FDC SWA SCM CGC FTN” and will have another title added after the scent work trial at the nationals. He got his 3rd Q in Excellent Buried.
I am so grateful I was healthy and able to go to Tennessee to show him, (and his daughter “moxie”, “CH Tin Roof’s Dash-Of-Sass FDC DCAT CGC” )
Gavin was #6 NOHS in 2024, and we won the Top 20 Owner Handled Award at the National Specialty Inaugural Top 20 event!🏆
We were amongst some of our favorite people, who also did very very well at the shows. We were definitely bringing home a lot of loot to our air Bnb!. I am ever grateful to Alexis Kurowski and her husband Pete for having me as a guest last minute. I am so thankful to have been able to meet several people in person, and get to know them a little bit while we were together. I came home with new friendships to cherish, and memories that will make my heart melt when I think of the fun we had. I hope to be able to do it again, but if I can’t, I could not have asked for a better experience, with a better group of people. These are the reasons I do this. I love growing relationships with fellow ACD lovers. I love getting to meet the breeders and people that love this breed as much as i do. I started all of this due to a forced medical retirement, and the desire to bring joy to others through my dogs. My heart is so happy that I was able to have this wonderful family to be a part of. Thank you to all of the people that were and are there to help me, talk with me, teach me, and share your lovely dogs and stories with me. It is truly priceless and irreplaceable to me. I thank all of the volunteers, and the members that worked so hard to make this event so spectacular. The inaugural Top Twenty Event was fabulous and I can’t wait to see it continue in the years to come.
It will just get better and better.
The gorgeous dogs, their humans, and all of the working parts to make all of the events offered, actually happen.
I am thankful in so many ways but I am not that great of a writer. Just know that all of you mean so much to me, and without your support, and friendships, I could not do it.
I love you all and can’t wait to do more! Thank god for ACDs, their loyalty, their tenacity, and for the heart that fights as hard as I do for each day we are gifted on this earth.
❤️

At the ACDCA Regional Specialty was so much fun. There were 107 total ACDs entered. Gavin made the cut twice, but we did not make the final one for a placement. (Moxie wasn’t entered Friday).
Today, Saturday, at the Memphis KC, judge George E. Marquis awarded Moxie,
CH Tin Roof’s Dash-of-Sass CGC DCAT with grand champion select B***h out of 79 total ACD entries!
Gavin made the cut again, but no final love for him.
I couldn’t be more ecstatic, and proud of my lil bred by moxie poo poo getting chosen in the line up select out of so many very nice ACDs.
I am so very blessed to be healthy enough to make the trip, to be able
to show a couple of my dogs, and spend such wonderful moments with dear and new friends.
I want to put a special shout out to Alexis Kurowski for being such an amazing human being and friend. I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for all you do for everyone you love. 🥰
Tomorrow we go back for another day of all breed show with Tri-Star KC and 69 total ACD entries!
