Milo is doing great! He’s actually sleeping on the couch with me right now. He has successfully figured out our dog door and uses it whenever he feels the need to go out and do his business. Boys are loving him and my wife who vowed to never let a dog on our bed, has allowed it twice already. Safe to say everything is going great. Thank you so much for such a NICE PUPPY! Blue has settled in beautifully. He is the perfect fit for me. He immediately learned to be polite around the other pets and has done a 180 on the leash. It is honestly amazing how he has done everything I have asked of him seamlessly in only a week. He is enjoying our daily walks, “helping” me feed the cat and guinea pig, his new friend Annie, and also taking naps. Danielle Koch / Berlin CT

Back in the fall, Delilah was left in a crate overnight on the porch of a Veterinary Clinic in Mississippi. The clinic staff reached out to us for help in rehoming Delilah while the employees took turn fostering her. Then right after Christmas, Delilah was adopted by the Lothammer Family in NY.

“Delilah is doing amazing and adjusting very well. She is so smart, affectionate, such a sweet little girl. Jacob Lothammer / Flushing NY”

R.I.P. Layla
Good morning, Mike. Writing to you now is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.....

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Layla Friday night unexpectedly. Her breathing was labored and sounded painful. We rushed her to the clinic-X-rays showed her chest was full of fluid (blood from a ruptured tumor we didn’t know was there). Apparently, she had several growths in her chest that had gone undetected. …We had no choice. We are devastated. She was the light in our lives.

We hunted mice in the woods for hours every single day. I’d push over dead trees while she checked out those already down. We were a terror in the woods, averaging 8-10 mice a day. God we had fun.

Dogs have this uncanny ability to weave themselves into your heart and soul, filling in gaps that make you feel complete. When they leave, the emptiness felt is so palatable, overwhelming and raw, it’s like you can’t breathe.

As time passes, we’ll be able to talk about Layla again without bursting into tears. Right now it’s impossible to do. Carol Lupinek / East Haddam CT

R.I.P. Molly
I adopted Molly as a little pup in May 2011. I’m sad to report that Molly passed away last week after a brief illness. She was a joy from the moment she stepped off the transport in CT. I always called Molly the best dog ever and truer words were never spoken. She was funny, loving and joyful - everyone who met her loved her. Losing her has left a big hole in my heart, but I can only hope that hole will be filled in time with all the memories I have of her. I can never repay you for bringing Molly into my life. Lola (2024) is doing wonderful! She is a beautiful, loving, smart & very energetic lady. We love her so much and she had a wonderful time this holiday season spending time with the family. I have included a video of her in her festive outfit! Thank you and Happy New Year! Michelle & Tom Sauer / Norwalk CT
