📣Nationals Recap📣
Brooklyn swam hydro dash yesterday she got another new PERSONAL BEST of 15.227!! She placed 20th out of 56 Master dogs, only top 15 got an invite to finals but I’m still very happy where she placed and incredibly proud of her getting new personal bests at Nationals just like she did last year. I can’t say enough how I’m am so incredibly proud of Brooklyn’s progress on the dock this year and I can’t wait to see how this next season goes! Thank you so much for everyone’s support! We love you all 🩵🧡

📣Last chance qualifier recap📣
We did AR for LCQ, I was hopeful maybe we’d give it a shot and see how it went. AR is new to Brooklyn this year so anything she does makes me proud.

Today she got a new personal best of 16 feet!! She ended up placing 15th in her division which is also really big in my mind for a last chance qualifier, but only the top 5 were invited to nationals. Either way I’m super proud of her and that’s huge of her to get a new personal best at nationals! 🩵🧡

Tomorrow we will be competing in Hydro dash on pool 5 with a rough estimate time of 12:30pm (1:30pm EST) here is the link to the live stream! I will try to update when we are close to going up on the dock!

We are a few hours into our drive to Missouri! So excited to be attending Nationals for the second year in a row! We have grown so much this season and it’s really paid off!

Exactly one week until we leave for Missouri to nationals! I’m so excited and just a bit nervous 😅 Brooklyn & I can’t wait to see and cheer everyone on!

We compete in LCQ for Air retrieve on Wednesday 10/24 starting at 8am at pool 4. Hydro dash is on Thursday 10/25 will update with more information when I have it!

This past weekend we had our last home dock event of the year (jumps counted for the 2025 season). Brooklyn earned her Dock Senior Excellent 2 title which is 80 distance jumps in the Senior division! This also earned Brooklyn a Distance invite to the 2025 Regionals!

Starting off the 2025 season well with 1/3 invites to regionals to start! Can’t wait until dock starts back up again and see how much more we grow!

Next stop, NATIONALS!! 🧡🩵

We will be competing Central K9 this weekend! Our jump schedule will be:

Saturday 9/21:
9am- distance
1pm- distance
3pm- distance
4:30pm- air retrieve
Sunday 9/22:
9am- hydro dash
11am- distance
3pm- distance

This will be our last home competition until next season! Can’t wait to see what the 2025 dock season brings!

Regionals 2024!

First I wanna thank everyone for their support through the season! You guys mean a lot to us

Brooklyn jumped a 15.7 in hydro dash, distance 19 feet, and air retrieve her final grab was 15 feet which is only the second time she’s ever grabbed a 15! She also earned her hydro dash master and air retrieve senior titles this weekend!

I couldn’t be more proud of my girl. We started off these season with Brooklyn in the senior division for distance and hydro and she continued to blow me away and swim into master division for both mid season! Although it kinda bummed me out thinking how she’d be at the bottom of masters for regionals. I am very proud of her and myself for working together to get better and better as a team! I always say it but a big thank you to Jessica Edgerly for all your help making us the team we have become and continue to grow from here on out. And a big shout out to all my friends for always being here to cheer us on and support us and a big thank you to the Central K9 team for making regionals go smoothly and everything you do to make all these events so much fun! I’m so glad to be apart of such a supportive team🥹❤️

Now fingers and paws crossed we see a nationals invite!

Tomorrow starts a big weekend for Team Brooklyn …2024 Northeast Regionals!! I can’t believe regionals is already here, the past 4 months have FLOWN by. Brooklyn received an invite for Distance, Hydro dash, and Air Retrieve this year!

Thank you to all our friends and family near & far for supporting us always. This season has been a season of massive growth, trying new things on the dock that got us new personal bests. Thank you to our trainer Jessica Edgerly for taking the time and working with us throughout the season and helping us connect better on the dock! Also thank you to the girls who deal with me on a daily basis Shelby Dumond Allyson Colburn Jasa Nelson and Ashley Jellen and being some of our favorite cheerleaders during each event or practice.

Good luck to all our friends who are also competing in regionals! We will see you all bright and early!

What a weekend🤩 Brooklyn absolutely killed it this weekend with a new personal best of 22’1”!! Each of her distance jumps (21’3, 21’9” and 22’1”) was a new personal best! A weekend of Master runs in both Distance and Hydro Dash (15.708)!

3 years ago I didn’t know how much the tiny menace I brought home was going to change my life. From a little 12 pound puppy who definitely kept me on my toes sometimes, to a dog who never fails to blow me away with our accomplishments in sports, and excels in service work! I am beyond grateful for you coming into my life and incredibly proud of the dog you are. In 3 years we have accomplished so much together. So many memories, trips, and have met so many amazing friends near and far throughout these past 3 years! Thank you to everyone who has been along side through any part of our journey together ❤️

With all that being said Happy 3rd Gotcha Day to my best friend I love you more then words can explain ❤️

On Saturday we went to do a quick run in barn hunt! What is Barn Hunt? In a Barn Hunt trial your dog searches around a straw bale course to find hidden tubes that contain live rats! Hidden in the straw bales are canisters, in these canisters contains a live rat, rat litter, or an empty tube. It is your dogs job to "alert" you to the correct tube (or multiple tubes depending on level) that contains the rat! Don't worry no rats are harmed during this sport, their safety is a main priority! In this video we are doing a crazy 8's run. What is crazy 8's? Crazy 8's is open to all levels, its a 2 minute round. There is a Senior level tunnel, 8 live rat tubes, and 4 litter tubes. Your goal is to find as many as you can in the time. For each correct rat you earn 10 points. For tunnel and climb, you earn 10 points each. Feel free to ask any questions!
