I love this horse 🥰 first ride since last June and he was perfect! We did some groundwork in December and January but mostly he’s just been hanging out. He did go from a 26 girth to a 32 however 🤭

We all need to remember sometimes to ride with confidence and learn to manage nerves, even experienced riders.

Nerves are natural, but they don’t define you—how you handle them does.

1. Trust Your Preparation– You’ve trained for this. Believe in your work.
2. Focus on the Process– Stay present and connected with your horse.
3. Reframe Nerves as Excitement– Shift fear into focus. You’re ready!
4. Breathe & Visualize Success– Picture your best ride and trust it.
5. Trust Your Horse– They feel your energy. Stay calm and ride like at home.
6. Stick to a Routine– Familiar rituals create confidence.
7. Accept Mistakes– Everyone makes them. Keep riding forward.
8. Enjoy the Journey– You do this because you love it. Smile and ride with heart!
9. Training is key to development, trust the process and embrace your coach or trainer. Experience can aid in development and shape a journey.
Believe, trust, and enjoy—because you’ve got this!

Not too concerned…but definitely keeping one ear on the red flag mom is waiving around at all times 🧐 also not sure why she takes me away from my friends to wave stuff around in the arena for a half hr? Don’t worry Fika…humans are always doing silly things🤪

After a week of wind, yesterday was pretty perfect conditions for this gorgeous boy to get going under saddle! I’ve been working on the ground to get him thinking and tuned into his handler a little better. Now starting his under saddle work I will be using a “yoga for horses” technique to keep him calm and confident🙌

2024. This was the hardest year I’ve ever experienced. I’m pretty sure I cried more than I have in my entire life, and I have a new respect for people who deal with chronic illnesses. I heard someone say hard times are like clouds…they come and go. I know this to be true, and while no one volunteers to walk through struggles that is also the place where we tend to grow the most. I know I’m walking into 2025 a different and better version of myself than when I walked into 2024 and I’m grateful for that. There was a silver lining around the pain and fear of this year and I will carry it with me always💕
