Lark is a young female mix that is looking for a home! She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids and is adoptable through Cooper’s Safe Place Animal Rescue. I had the pleasure of meeting her last week and she is a delight. She’s not hyper like some puppies can be, she likes her couch time, and she enjoys being outside and hanging out. She will still need work on her basic obedience, but she seems to be a quick learner. Reach out to the rescue if you are interested!

Congrats to Lexie for finishing her Leash Walking Lessons! I can’t post videos in the same post, but what you don’t see is that when Lexie was adopted not too long ago, she was not accustomed to wearing a collar or walking on leash. To say this little one has come a long way is an understatement! So proud of Lexie and her owners!

It’s only going to be a little cooler next week, so stay hydrated and stay indoors if you can. Take walks in the early morning or late evening. Water should be accessible 24/7 for your dog. Provide plenty of shade, and don’t leave your dogs outside for too long. Training can be done indoors for now. And as always, never leave your dog in a car!

Congrats to the April class for Leash Walking Lessons! Toby, Winnie, and Isaac did great learning their leash manners. They are comfortably walking loosely, they Heel around obstacles and distractions, and they have a wonderful default Sit when their owner stops walking. I’m proud of their progress in the past 3 weeks and know they will have a future of wonderful walks ahead of them!
The next round of Leash Walking Lessons will start in June, so look out for future class dates!

Upcoming Group Class Information:
Since I've already been getting questions about the next set of group classes, here are the dates for all three levels. Please note that the Advanced class is a Tuesday evening class that will be held after the Beginner class. Also, I will not be able to do a Leash Walking Class in the month of May because of scheduling conflicts. I will resume that class in June and will have the dates available asap! Thank you!

March's group training classes are already in session, so here are the next dates for those of you planning ahead.
Puppy class is for pups 5 months of age and younger.
Beginner class is for dogs 5 months and older who need to start training and learn basic obedience.
Advanced class is for grads of the Puppy and Beginner class that are looking to learn more and work on public manners.
All group training classes are 6 weeks long, $125 per dog, and are held at the Clayton Pet Hotel and Spa
