Yesterday, we hosted our Raise The Woof Grand Opening celebration, and it was nothing short of extraordinary!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a remarkable success. From 10 AM to 4 PM, we welcomed over 1,000 guests to our campus. Four shuttles running to facilitate parking transformed a hectic day into a shared experience of joy and connection.

Many vendors, surprised by the turnout, ran out of items, reminding us that together, we can create unforgettable moments.

We are deeply grateful for your support and can’t wait to continue this journey with all of you!

On Thursday, January 9th, we held our official ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by our local Chambers of Commerce and the dedicated architects, engineers, and construction partners who brought this dream to life. Messages from our Board Chair, Jeff Moore and CEO, Maureen O'Nell inspired us all. This celebration marked a significant milestone as we officially embraced our new location. Our principal donors, Elsa and Peter Soderberg, proudly cut the ribbon alongside George and Carol Milne, who supported our Veterinary Clinic. Visitors then enjoyed tours and connections with our sheltered animals.

A New Beginning: Mama Prima and Her Pups

Happy New Year, everyone!🥳 We are not only celebrating the dawn of 2025 but also the arrival of our first residents in the Maternity Ward of our brand-new facility. In a twist of fate, the very suites we anticipated would bring joy and security to countless fur families are already witnessing their first miracle.

Just when we thought we had everything under control, a local county shelter entrusted us with Mama Prima and her seven adorable pups. Their arrival was a beautiful surprise—a reminder that sometimes, life has its own plans. From the moment we laid eyes on this resilient mama and her squirming, warm bundles of joy, our hearts melted. Mama Prima is doing remarkably well, embodying both strength and grace as she navigates this new chapter. It’s clear she has faced challenges, but now—as she nestles her pups close—we can see her begin to truly thrive.

In these early days, it’s heartwarming to observe her caring nature. She craves affection, leaning into the gentle touches from our staff, as if to say, “Thank you for giving us a safe place.” Her love for her puppies is evident, and every yawn, every playful paw, and each tiny whimper reminds us of the precious gift of new life.

Though we weren’t fully prepared for this beautiful delivery, the joy it has brought is immeasurable. The truth is, the transition into this new facility has been filled with projects aimed at bettering the lives of our existing furkids. Our focus has been on them, and yet here we are, fortunate enough to welcome Mama Prima and her pups.

To honor this incredible mother and her little ones, we are organizing a Baby Shower! We invite you to take part in this celebration of new life. Meet Hope, a gentle soul who found her way to us on a whirlwind Saturday, right after our big move. A compassionate couple stumbled upon her, recognizing that this sweet girl needed help and support. Even though we weren’t officially open to the public yet, we simply couldn’t turn our backs on her in her time of need.

Hope arrived underweight, at only 60% of her ideal body weight, but her spirit was unbroken. With each passing day in our care, we see her blossom. She’s learning to trust us, revealing her loving nature despite being a little shy. We’re making sure she feels safe and comfortable by giving her 4-5 small meals a day, along with probiotics to help her get the nutrition she deserves.

As we settle in and embrace our new home, we realize that not all animals can wait for the perfect moment to be rescued. Hope reminds us of the real reason we’re here: to serve those who cannot speak for themselves. We recognize that this journey couldn’t be made possible without the unwavering support of our incredible community. It’s your kindness and generosity that truly makes a difference in the lives of animals like Hope.
