Saturday, October 7th, the ESPCA will have adoptable dogs at PetSmart from 11 am - 2 pm. Adoption fee is $50, and this price is good for ALL animals available through the ESPCA. If you don't see something you like at PetSmart, head over to the ESPCA and browse the animals there. If you're still not satisfied, check out the animals in foster homes at enidspca.org. Again, adoption event this Saturday at PetSmart, and ALL animals are $50.

It always cracks me up when people are surprised by their dogs innate behaviors. Like putting a harness on a husky and wondering why they are pulling you down the road. That’s their work gear. Or wondering why your beagle won’t stop barking…. Uh that’s their job. Wondering why your herding breed dog is nipping and childrens ankles. That’s their job.

That’s why it’s so important you do your research before you get a dog. Know what you’re getting into. Make sure they are right for your lifestyle.

I’ll add designer “greeders” can in no way guarantee one specific trait of the two or three breed they’re tossing together. DNA is only predictable when it’s traced, tracked and purpose bred. Even then it’s not guaranteed.
