It will be extremely hot today!!
Please notice that we will NOT be doing dog walking this afternoon. All dog walks will be scheduled before 11 am each morning during extreme heat. As long as the day cools off, we will start back up for evening walks until Wednesday!

If you’d like for us to come and exercise your pets we can still do so. Exercising will be broken down in increments to allow time to cool down.

If you’re needing someone to check on your outside animals, please don’t hesitate to message us!

HEAT BUZZ: All of Oklahoma and northern Texas are expected to approach or exceed heat indices of 105 on Monday. Even though a steady southerly breeze will help it feel better (wind isn't part of the heat index calculation) frequent breaks are encouraged if you have outdoor work or play. Be sure to drink plenty of water and make sure pets and livestock have plenty as well. Less hot weather is still expected to arrive by Thursday and last through next weekend.

It’s hot out there!! Treat your pups to a cool treat!

Dog Ice Cream🐶🍦
Ingredients:
1 banana
4 tablespoons peanut butter
12 ounces plain or vanilla yogurt
Instructions:
Blend all ingredients together in a blender. Spoon the mixture into mold, and freeze for about two hours before popping out of the mold and serving.
Keep any treats that are not immediately eaten in a freezer-safe ziplock bag or container for up to three weeks.

Be weather aware and have a plan today!
All animals can sense bad weather, so if your dog, cat or even chickens are acting strange, that is probably why. Provide a comfy- calm space for them.

Our team is ready to set our safety plan into action should the need arise. If you need help making sure your pets are ready and safe should we see severe weather- don’t hesitate to call us!

FUN FACT!!

Grass is an awesome Folic acid supplement! Also has laxative benefits to keep everything regular and relieves an upset tummy!

Since this kitty was introduced to grass, she is like a new cat! She was sweet before.. but now she comes out to socialize ALOT more and is overall just a happier kitty!

So whenever you see a dog or cat grazing on grass it’s not always because they have an upset stomach, they could just be simply seeking more vitamins or trying to get a bowel movement going! ☺️
