(2/2) Continuing to introduce ourselves:
My name is Austin Reyher, I purchased the kennel from the Rothing family in 2017 and now we are located in Ennis, Montana.
Born and raised just down the road in Belgrade, Montana and graduated from MSU in Animal Science in 2015. I have been a guide and now Outfitter out of Ennis for the past 10+ years, and have enjoyed having the dogs out with me for work and play.
I am in charge of training our older dogs, and making sure Callan has all the lawn she can mow for them too 🚜.
I've owned hunting dogs all my life, and love watching them work every day in the field. Thanks for following us, we enjoy hearing all the stories past and new about Diamond R Adventures.

(1/2) Hello to our new followers of Diamond R! It's been a while since we introduced ourselves. 🫡 My name is Callan Reyher, born and raised in Montana, and I am in charge of day-to-day dogs and puppy watching, social media, and the website design and upkeep as well as just a general chaos management on the property.
My family has owned three different chocolate males from Diamond R since 1990 (peep the photos of young Cal) , and I am so excited to now run that very kennel with my husband, Austin, since 2017.
I graduated from MSU in 2017 in Business Marketing, Spanish, and International Business. I've spent time in Washington state and Peru during my college years but am so happy to keep calling Montana my forever home.
I love our dogs, watching them work in the field, and hanging out with them on our porch while answering your emails and questions! Thanks for joining along on our journey, it really does mean a lot whether or not you have a dog from us. ♥️

Our Montana Story

Under new ownership with Austin & Callan Reyher since 2017, but the traditions stay the same. We are “Montana's Labs” and focus on breeding family oriented, hunting labs from a line that started in 1982. We are AKC registered and offer guaranteed puppies. The foundation dog, Diamond R Sexy Sophie, encompassed all the qualities we find ideal in a Labrador. Hard working, aggressive entry to brush and water, willingness to please, and an extremely easy going temperament. She had a reserve win,1st and 2nd her only three times to a show. Most importantly, she had the ability to produce the same or better in her offspring. Sophie’s bloodline is one of very few chocolate bloodlines in the country to consistently produce top quality performance dogs that were still a joy to have in the home.

We select our dogs not only on their temperament, and ability as working dogs, but on their ability to pass on those traits. We don’t breed titles to titles, because at the end of the day most of us don’t need champions, we need a hard working hunting dog that is healthy, as well as a pleasure to have at home. We produce all three colors of labs, which gives us more freedom in breeding to concentrate on working ability, conformation, and temperament.
