Newest into training this winter is "Katie"! She's a lovely 7 year old OTTB Chestnut Mare!

I gave her about 4 to 5 days to settle in while doing some groundwork and get acclimated to the new living situation. We had our first ride friday and she was an absolute gem! No funny business.

Her owners say she just needs "hours" under saddle. So thats what she's going to get. And then we'll see if she likes to jump.

Oak has been really making progress undersaddle towards his new career!🩡

He's really figuring out how to be supple, use his body and be slow! But i still love the try of the ex-racehorses! He's also sporting his new clip job and he handled it so well. Didn't move or flinch even it the "normal sensitive" spots!

I get to have the honor of taking him to his first schooling show in the beginning of December!

Brooklyn and Vetta!

Another first show duo and they did pretty well! Brooklyn has never been to a show before and she put her best foot forward in her warm up and test. Vetta wanted to be a little "up" being out in warm up with all the other horses and she's not a fan of rain, so she was shaking her head a bit. Which is fair! Brooklyn rode her through and got a great warm up.

They went down the centerline for the first time together and did very well! She remembered her test, rode all the movements and was successful in getting through the whole test.

Intro Test A - 64.06% placing 4th in a decent size class. They had great moments that will just keep getting better!
She wanted to try again so she rode a second test, which scored her a 62.81%. There were moments in the second test that were better than the first, but she felt better about the second test!

Good job kid! Nice first show

Carley and Lulu!πŸ’œ

Carley has been working really hard with her girl, she's truly the biggest puzzle and is a true mare in her ways.
She had 2 great warm up rides, where Lulu was listening and on her aids. She was focusing on what her mom was asking.
Her first test was lovely considering all the weather that was going on during their time!

Intro Test A - 61.25%. They worked out all their first test of the day gitters, the scores were very respectable and its all stuff thats constantly improving.

Intro Test B - They had an unfortunate event with this one. The wind was blowing pretty hard so being at the far end of the ring, you couldn't hear very well. The judge had told her she'd ring the bell when carley was down at the end but she entered with the thought that the judge rang the bell although it hadn't been rung. They had a lovely first centerline and then when they had to go back out to restart, Lulu was all flustered and just didnt want to play. The mare does know her job at this point which we can't be mad at.

The main thing for these two is getting comfortable with eachother and finding the trust. They're getting better each time they go out! Im proud of Carley for sticking with it and giving it her best!

Good job Carley! Way to keep getting out and keep pushing.

Pandora!

I enjoy riding this mare and getting her out into the world! The Thoroughbreds can be quirky but honestly that's what I love about them. She definitely has a way she likes things to be done and you can only suggest she do the thingsπŸ˜‰

Intro A - 64.68% placing 2nd! She had some good moments, she is getting better at bending and listening to my leg. Only going to get better.
Intro B - 60% She was a bit over the weather at this point, but wanted to be so behind my leg. Just more things to work on!

Appreciate her mother, Aubrey, for allowing me the ride on this mare! She's a fun puzzle

Barbie with Banques!

Barbie has worked really hard to keep improving herself and her riding every day. She has come a long ways from where we started and to see her smiling face coming out of each test knowing she did the thing is such a great thing!
She's been working to get Banques to supple and use his back better along with her aids being more effective.

Intro Test A - 64.06% placing a lovely 3rd! They had some lovely moments in this test!

Intro Test B - 60.62% There was a mishap in the ring next to get, which might have flustered a bit. But she went back in to complete her test and use her aids very well!

Good job lady!!

Dyllan and Hershey!!πŸŽ‰

Their first show together and first show for both of them individually.

I'm very proud of Dyllan as Hershey had feelings throughout the whole show, calling to his friends back in the barn. But she knows him in and out and rode so tactful and effective. Being in a busy warm up ring can be hard, but she made the best of all that was thrown at her!

She was very helpful throughout the whole show day! Taking ponies for walks, making sure they had waters and being supportive for the team!

Intro B Jr/Yr - 61.25%. 1st with a sassy gelding

Intro C Jr/Yr - 62.75%. 3rd with an even more sassy gelding.

Good job kiddo! Way to stick it out through all the weather too!

Sadie and Poppy!!

They had a great first show together, despite all the weather, emotions and nerves with their first time out.
They've been working hard these past couple months and they took a big step by just getting to the show.
I'm very proud of Sadie, for just being there and doing all of her tests and acting very professional.

6 feet foundation 1 - 4th place - 66.6% Having some decent work! Poppy just likes to drag her feet in the rein back.

Intro A Jr/Yr - 63.75% - tied at 5th. Having to fight through the nasty rain and first ride jitters, bit rode tactfully!

Intro B Jr/Yr - 58.12% earning her 2nd! Poppy had some s***k into the first halt. But Sadie rode it well and pushed on through her test to have great work!

Good job kid!
