Obedience training is a common conversation here at the Pet Salon. Last night I was able to sit in on an obedience training course at Tails & Trails Pet Service and dog training. What a wonderful experience! The owner, Brandy, was knowledgeable and professional with a kind approach to training. The facility was clean and very well equipped. I highly recommend this facility for all your training needs 🐾

This big love bug is named Loki. He coaxed me to join him on the floor for a belly rub. Once there, he pushed me over and demanded cuddles. His little grin says it all 😂❤️

Let's talk toenails!

This is a before and after of overgrown nails on a small dog. As you can see from the back foot that is circled in red, the nails were not easily visible to the owner.

Overgrown nails are incredibly uncomfortable for your pet and can result in joint pain and injuries from sliding, nails growing into the pad, toes crossing (seen pictured here), cracked or torn nails, infection, snagging, and more.

Better to take a trip to the groomer for preventative care than an expensive trip to the vet with a painful condition for your pet.

How often should I get my pets nails trimmed? Much like human nail growth, pet nail growth can vary drastically. This is due to age, mobility, quick length, grooming frequency, and what your pet is walking on. It's best to have your pet's nails cut every 4-6 weeks depending on thier growth but be mindful to keep an eye on them at home in-between clippings until we've pinpointed the appropriate schedule for your pet.

Here at April's Pet Salon walk in nail trims are welcome Tuesday-Friday 8am-11am. You are welcome to call the shop at 360-825-4044 for additional times and availability.

Here at the Pet Salon we believe that all our furry friends deserve to feel fresh and clean no matter their age. Lumps, bumps, moles, warts, deafness, vision impairment/blindness, and all the other things that can come with an aging pet are welcome here.

This has been a commonly asked question from clients both new and old. Grooming a senior pet comes with challenges and frequently takes a bit of extra time to accommodate the health and safety of a senior pet. It is often done with with an empty shop to help control a calm and quiet environment to ease anxiety for the pet.

We know you love your pet's and so do we. Age is not a grooming disqulifer at April's Pet Salon ❤️🐾

The crew at the Enumclaw G.O. did it again! They called for another pick up of donations to make room for more. My heart is busrting at the seams. Between the owners, managers, and staff going above and beyond with signage to support the Pet food drive, and the amazing community members who continue to donate, we couldn't do this without you. ❤️

Our first annual "Santa-claws pictures and pet food drive" event was a success! Thank you to everyone who came out to support our local seniors with your donations. Enumclaw truly is a small town with a huge heart ❤️

Sometimes life gets busy and dogs get matted and overgrown. This little guy came in a bit shy and anxious but left comfortable, clean, and playful! He turned out to be a down right cuddle bug halfway through his spa day 🐾
