Allison is in the final stages of training PAD Piper, as her mobility and hearing dog. Allison purchased a program bred and started puppy from PAD, and has done all of her advanced training with our program. We are so proud of this team!

At group lessons this week our trainers practiced teaching puppies to accept being searched with metal detectors.

PAD Boba is 11 weeks old and soaring through phase 1 training in our program. Phase 1 includes 16 cues for puppies to learn as well as foundation work for handlers skills like training mechanics with the leash and clicker, treat delivery and timing and applying training techniques like shaping, luring and capturing.
In this video, Boba, a black and white godlendoodle puppy, shows a sit and wait cue, then recalls back to his Puppy Starter.
PAD Malik and Sawsan were matched in March, and haven’t seen each other since. Yesterday, Sawsan flew in from Los Angeles to begin their 15 day Team Training together. PAD Malik was elated to see her again!

PAD Caretta was bred by our program and is in training to be a medical alert and response dog!
In this video they’re introducing a behavior that will eventually be called “through”. This cue tells the dog to go in front of the handler, between a narrow space or doorway, turn around and face the handler.
We're halfway through #GivingTuesday and so excited to share what training a puppy can look like! PAD Turtle is a 6 month old Golden Retriever. In this video his volunteer puppy raiser is practicing a few of his basic cues to work on his ability to differentiate between similar cues. His puppy raiser shared some of her thoughts of her experience so far;
"Puppy raising for PAD has opened my eyes to more than I thought possible. It has given me the opportunity to give back in a fun way, allowing me to be more involved within the community. It has taught me leadership and responsibility. PAD will forever hold a special place in my heart."

In this video you see Growing Up Guide Pup PAD Maple, the cream Standard Poodle happily trot out of the green grass into the pond to chase a stick. As she brings it back to the land, PAD Mavis & PAD Poinsettia join in the fun play bowing and trying to steal the stick.
15 month old PAD Boh is in our Owner Trainer program and is being trained by a family member of her future partner. A very important task for her will be to hand a cashier her partners form of payment, then return it back to her! She has learned the following cues separately; take it, hold, let’s go, up, give and off! Yesterday, during her lesson, the cues were put together to begin the chain for paying!
In this video you see her trainer approach a table with a young man behind it. She hands Pad Boh, a Golden Retriever a credit card, cues “up” and “give” and then “off”. After, she repeats this process to have Boh get the credit card back!
Growing Up Guide Pup PAD Maple, a cream Standard Poodle is getting close to being placed, so she is practicing the Public Access Test. In this video she is laying under a table when a piece of burger falls near her. She’s given the verbal cue “leave it” and she calmly looks at her trainer ignoring the burger!
