Conestoga Animal Hospital is a privately owned practice that has been serving the community for over 50 years and is looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician to our dedicated team.

We are seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician for a full and/or part-time position.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Radiology
• Laboratory work
• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Client education
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals

Qualifications

• An ideal candidate should be friendly, efficient, reliable, team oriented, self motivated, capable of multitasking, able to work in a fast paced environment, and has a passion for animals

• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations

• CVT License (Preferred)

Hourly Salary: $16-$20/hr based on experience.

Dr. Zimmerman has made the decision to retire from veterinary medicine at the end of 2022. This dedicated and kind hearted veterinarian has served his profession well. The trust and security he developed between animals and their owners & his wise words of counsel and comfort will never be forgotten.

His Conestoga family will miss his friendship, support and compassion. We know his clients and patients are equally sorry to see him go. We support his decision and wish Dr Z the very best in his new life adventures!
