This is the "in between" season.

Some days will be warm and glorious and others will be cold and rainy or snowy. So at this time of year, we'll keep our hours set for Monday thru Friday for the next few weeks before we officially close retail sales for 2024 but please make sure to reach out to us on those cold days, as we may close early.

The crews are very busy putting away tens of thousands of plants into the hoop houses, which keeps them cold and safe from the constant swing of Colorado temperatures. This keeps them dormant for the season and still allows all of our landscape contractors to plant them through the winter.

Hurray for the 3M Crew, they work SO hard!

When simply bringing your plants into the garage isn't an option! Four of the most amazing employees we've ever had showed up, in matching rain jackets, and worked for hours to help us safely lay down and cover over 500 trees. By the end, we were all soaked, hands frozen and a little sore (maybe that was just me!) We're hoping all the work will bring about Murphy's Law and the temps and heavy snow won't be as bad as they're predicting, but we're as prepared as we can be.

To heck with black Friday, it's Green Friday! Our Christmas tree lot is open at 10am and we have a beautiful selection of trees, wreaths and garland for all of your holiday decorating!

Couldn't help but unwrap a few trees early, Ron is 6'3" and this beauty still almost touches the rafters in the barn! It's Christmas Tree Time!! See you Friday!

Not to be outdone by the butterflies, the hummingbirds came to visit today too! Hyssop is a great plant for butterflies, hummingbirds and bees!

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words....plant more flowers!

This gorgeous American Goldfinch has greeted me every morning this week! He's got such a beautiful voice, not sure if he's singing for me or for a mate, but I'm going to assume it's all for me! Remember folks, this is a big reason why we encourage you to plant trees!

Oh to be a bumblebee, moving from flower to flower! Sometimes we're so drawn to intense colors, but look variations of subtle colors on the Limetta Hydrangea. Amazing!

Getting ready to open for retail sales next weekend and the plants are changing daily! Love seeing them open up more and more with each sunny day. See you next Saturday!
