Mutt Gala Doggie Fashion Show
One of the highlights of the Erie Humane Society’s Mutt Gala is the Doggie Runway Fashion Show. Showcasing dogs (some adoptable and some that have found a forever home) that came to us with major cases requiring specialty care and directly benefited from our emergency outpatient medical fund.
As you check out this video, captured by our good friends at R Frank Media last year, the amazing souls showcased on the runway were there because their lives were saved through our rehabilitation efforts, enabled by this important fund.

We would like to send a out a big THANK YOU to our good friend, Joe King, for hosting his “Joe King’s Bowling for Veterans”, to benefit the Erie Humane Society’s Shelter to Service Program! The tournament exceeded last year’s totals, raising over $12,800 to aid this important initiative. Tucker, pictured below, is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever who entered the program as a puppy. He’s been training with Redefine Canine Training for the past year, and during his 2nd year of training, he will focus on mastering task related skills specifically for the needs of his future veteran. Tucker will be awarded to a local veteran, free of charge, at EHS’s Rock & Rescue Concert on August 10th. The success of our program would not be possible if it weren’t for people, like Joe, who are committed to helping local veterans live a better life. From all of us at the Humane Society, THANK YOU JOE and everyone who supported Sunday’s tournament. Your generosity makes a lasting impact in the life of a veteran!

We are excited to welcome our record # 32 volunteers for Night at the Shelter 2024! Each participant has a goal of raising $1,000. Our total goal is $25,000 and so far we have raised $10,000! All funds raised will benefit our outpatient medical fund, providing life-saving medical care to our shelter pets in critical need. In 2023, EHS invested over $115,000 in outpatient medical care, providing second chances for deserving pets!
