Everest is what’s known as a polydactyl cat, meaning he has more toes than your average feline friend. His front paws look like adorable mittens, complete with what appears to be opposable thumbs!

While Everest’s extra digits don’t function exactly like human thumbs, they do give him some pretty cool superpowers:
• Better balance for those tricky climbing adventures�• Enhanced toy-catching skills (watch out, feather wands!)�
Everest uses his unique paws to grasp toys and even attempt to open cabinets. Looks like we’ll need to kitten-proof the house extra carefully!

Fun fact: Polydactyl cats like Everest were once popular ship’s cats due to their superior climbing and hunting abilities. Who knows, maybe our little Everest has some seafaring ancestors!
