🐰 Adoption Alert!

Trey and Truman are brothers who were born at the rescue in 2019. In 2022, both Trey and Truman lost their perspective mate and remained single for a while. Trey was returned back to the rescue in June 2024. Truman's owners were looking for a new mate and the long lost brothers who had been separated since babies were bonded and adopted today!

We would not have been able to reunite the long lost brothers without the support of our volunteers and donors, thank you for your all your contributions.

“Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!"

Have a blessed first of January!

Saying “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” on the first day of a new month is an old tradition from 1909 to ensure good fortune throughout the month.

Rabbits are a common symbol of good luck, positivity, fertility, and growth in many cultures. Rabbits are also associated with a long life, tranquility, prosperity, craftiness, and skillfulness in solving problems and avoiding evil.

Here's to making all your wishes come true for 2025, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!

New Years is often a time of reflection!

To recap our year, Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue (RMHRR) had a total of 106 intakes in 2024! Our volunteers have been working diligently this year! There were a total 87 bunnies that were adopted: 25 pairs were adopted, 2 bunnies were adopted out as singles and our bonding team successfully bonded a trio and matched 32 single bunnies with their new best friend. Additionally, there were also 5 in-house pairings made that are waiting for the forever home. Thank you to our volunteers for your unwavering commitment to bunny welfare and another successful year!

Wishing a heartfelt Hoppy New Year to all the other amazing rescues and volunteers who dedicate their lives to giving animals a second chance. May the new year bring you countless success stories, endless compassion, and the resources to continue your incredible work in providing safe havens for animals in need and the strength and support to continue your lifesaving work. Every animal rescued is a testament to your compassion and dedication.

To our donors: None of our success would be possible without generous donors like you. Thank you again for your commitment, kindness and helping us achieve our goals!

To start off the 2025 year, we have one adoption pending! Follow us to see how this beautiful love story unfolded.

There are a total of 98 bunnies in our care at this time. Only 32 bunnies are currently available for adoption and the rest are waiting for spaying/neutering surgeries or require medical care before adoption.

Hello! My name is Raine. My story starts out very sad, but thanks to RMHRR supporters, it has a happy ending!

I was left in a cereal box outside an emergency vet office on a very cold night, with a note on the box asking that I be euthanized. I had been attacked by a predator and was not doing very well at all. I also had a broken leg which turned out to be an older break that had already “healed”.

Fortunately, the vets were able to get me warmed up and cleaned my deep wounds. They discovered I also had ear and other infections, and so many neurological issues I could barely stand or eat on my own. I was also emotionally drained.

An awesome veterinarian knew just who to call--her friends over at Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue. RMHRR volunteers have loved me and fed me and cared for me and I grew a little stronger every day. The care they gave me sparked my strong will to live and make it through this horrible ordeal.

My wounds healed and my infections got better. Except for one on my leg. The only way to take away that pain was through amputation. That was really hard but the humans helped me through that, too. They arranged for me to recover in a warm, safe home, with a foster volunteer who knows just how to care for me and love on me.

I’m now as good as new, despite my gimpy gait. I love my new life with my dedicated foster parent who says I’m never leaving. : )

My new purpose in life is being that soulful friend to any human that just needs a smile or even something deeper. I really understand the “deep stuff” and am the best listener and comforter. They say there is just something about me.

Those folks at RMHRR can take care of bunnies like me with the support of awesome people like you.

Will you consider supporting RMHRR and giving bunnies like me a second chance at life?
