Please keep your pets safe the rest of the 4th of July week and weekend. We will be lighting off fireworks here on Cordova rd so if anyone is doing this please tell your neighbors. Give them the common courtesy so they can prepare their furbabys. It can be very traumatic for some. This is my routine. My barn animals all closed up tight, the lights on, radio turned up and all fans running. Dogs and cats inside in the basement. TV going and fans.
Have a wonderful 4th..be safe and keep everyone's furbabys safe.

Summer is here and so are fleas and ticks. Both are deadly to your pets and i get asked this all the time. Forget Frontline and any Hartz products. Any product you can buy at the box store are junk and most likely made outside the USA which means most likely mixed with alternative additives. It may look legit but its not. I have had personal experience with them all throughout the years. I used to be a HUGE advocate for Frontline back in the 90's but the ingredients have changed and it just doesn't work anymore. So please and I know its expensive but pay the extra money from your veterinarian and get the good stuff that works and made in the USA. If you get the good products then you will be rid of these crawly blood suckers instead of continuously buying the crummy cheap stuff which would add up to the good stuff eventually because they dont work so you buy more and more when it could of been a 1 and done deal. My drug of choice is Bravecto. Its a 2+ month of continuously protection. Little side effects AND it works within 8 hours of giving it to them. Ive used Soresto on my barn cats and have great luck so I recommend that also. I have used Nextguard but I've had a few dogs get violently sick from it and 2 had seizures from it. Its a use with caution drug. The company is aware of these side effects and will refund your money if you call them..prove you got it from a veterinarian and even pay for any veterinarian visits if deemed necessary. So this is my 2 cents and I hope it helps to clarify up some things.

❤️❤️ We just wanted to make the big announcement that sweet Harper who came in last week had six puppies. She did great during labor and is being a wonderful mom, considering she’s only a pup herself. Keep an eye on our page for when they become available in approximately nine weeks. We are not accepting applications on them yet. And unfortunately we do not know what kind of dog the father is but we’re guessing he was stunning 😉

Sweet story

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the four pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

“Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer.

"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid.

Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up...

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy.

"No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."

Please do your research when getting a puppy. I know you think your rescuing it and yes you are but you just kept the puppy mill in business. This is so sad I had to share.
