Recent recall on raw diet for cats- risk of contamination.

RECALL ALERT - The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is alerting pet owners that samples of Northwest Naturals brand 2lb Turkey Recipe raw & frozen pet food tested positive for a H5N1 strain of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus.

Northwest Naturals, a Portland, Oregon-based company, is voluntarily recalling its Northwest Naturals brand 2lb Feline Turkey Recipe raw & frozen pet food. The recalled product is packaged in 2-pound plastic bags with “Best if used by” dates of 05/21/26 B10 and 06/23/2026 B1. The product was sold nationwide through distributors in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, MN, PA, RI and WA in the United States, and British Columbia in Canada. Please note new construction on the north end of the Town.

Starting Monday, July 15, Xcel Energy will close a small section of County Line Road from Evans to Cheesman Streets to facilitate their power line undergrounding work. Detours will be in place to guide traffic around the construction zone, utilizing Evans Street and syncing with the current detour path established for the County Line Corridor Upgrade Project from Cheesman to Balcolm Streets. Southbound traffic on County Line Road will be rerouted east on Evans Street to Main Street, then south on Main Street to Balcolm, and west on Balcolm back to County Line Road. Northbound drivers should follow the same detour in reverse along High Street. Xcel’s work is scheduled to last approximately three weeks weather and other delays pending. Please plan accordingly and allow for extra travel time.
