Graduating class June 2024

Our dog training club (APOTC) had our annual awards dinner yesterday.
The award being presented is called "The Traveling Trophy". It is given to the club member competing in AKC obedience trials during the year who has earned the highest averaged 3 scores (for any eligible obedience class) at AKC obedience trials.

I was the recipient this year competing with my dog Walker. An engraved plate with that information is added each year. I get to keep the trophy this year and will return it at the end of the year.

2024 TRAINING SCHEDULE UPDATE

BASIC OBEDIENCE COURSE 8 weeks $100 – beginning March 6, 2024 – limit 7 dogs per class – for dogs who need a few K-9 manners! Leadership skills, basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, no leash pulling) Additional class days may become available. Currently taking reservations – Limited enrollment – Call early to reserve your spot – Call 814-864-3335.

Congratulations to my dog Walker, a 2-1/2 year old golden retriever, who passed his second hunting retriever test. Teaching retrieving is fun exercise for the dog and also a responsible way to collect your shot game when you hunt.
