Why Give to Therapy Dogs United?
Donations to Therapy Dogs United directly support our mission, programs, and the heart of our organization - our volunteers.
These contributions fund Volunteer of the Month incentives, training programs, continuing education, the development of new initiatives and programs, books and supplies for visits, and staff training to better assist volunteers. Recently, we’ve also added a pet loss grief coach and quarterly support groups to help our volunteers decompress after challenging visits.
Since its founding in 2008, Therapy Dogs United has grown from just 4 certified therapy dogs and 1 visit location in Erie, PA, to over 300 certified therapy dogs making daily visits across the city and county—and that's just in Erie! Nationally, we have our paws in over 25 states, with more than 800 certified therapy dogs in total.
