Last week the new pasture was revealed to cow and sheep residents! Their excitement brought tears to those who watched as they ran and jumped with so much joy! Watch as Tito and Marley approach those standing by as if to tell them thank you ❤️
Thank you to everyone who supported the pasture expansion! Anyone who donated, volunteered, or shared our social fundraiser. To our care team and facility guy who worked tirelessly installing the fencing. YOU helped bring this joy and happiness to our cow and sheep residents! Since the reveal, they have spent the majority of their days grazing, and exploring these extra 20 acres! 🌾🐮🐑

❤️Caring for 160+ animal residents is no small task—especially when many of them are seniors requiring extra attention. From daily medications and routine treatments to vet visits, our dedicated care team works tirelessly to ensure every resident is comfortable, happy, and loved.
For specialized care, we’re grateful for the incredible support of professionals like our large animal vet, who handles herd health checks, vaccinations, and treatments like joint injections; our equine vet, whose expertise has been invaluable for these sensitive species; and our avian vet, who has done more for our birds than we ever thought possible. We’re also fortunate to collaborate with the CSU teaching hospital, whose team goes above and beyond to help our residents.
Farm animals rarely get the chance to grow old, and caring for them as they age is both a privilege and a challenge. There are so many unknowns, but with the dedication of our team and the support of our amazing vets, we’re committed to providing the best care possible.
Your support makes all of this possible—thank you for helping us meet the unique needs of so many incredible species. ❤️

🌸In Loving Memory of Laxmi 🌸
There’s no easy way to share this news. Test results for Laxmi came back, and the outcome is truly heartbreaking. She was diagnosed with malignant catarrhal fever, an untreatable virus with a fatality rate of 90-100% in symptomatic animals. As her symptoms rapidly progressed, it became clear that she was in significant pain and discomfort. With heavy hearts, the team made the compassionate decision to help her pass peacefully, ending her suffering.
A few of us were by her side, offering comfort and love as she transitioned from this world.
The most devastating part of this loss is for Devi, who was given the rare and beautiful opportunity to live her life with her child—a bond that has now been tragically taken from her. Losing a child is unimaginably hard, and we will surround Devi with endless love and support as she navigates her grief. The entire herd has lost a cherished family member, and we are grateful they have each other, the Luvin Arms team, and this compassionate community to lean on during this time.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown Laxmi love and contributed to her care. Your support made it possible for her to receive the best care and tireless dedication from an incredible team.
Sending so much love to Laxmi, Devi, their cow family, and the entire Luvin Arms community. ❤️

Laxmi Update: Fighting with Love and Support ❤️
Mimi continues to receive fluids, antibiotics, and pain meds, along with a plasma transfusion to help her fight what appears to be a massive infection. While her bloodwork hasn’t changed much, her liver values show she’s metabolizing fat due to not eating. An oral exam today revealed ulcers, and swabs were taken for further testing.
Though we’re still working to isolate the type of infection, Mimi is in the best hands with an incredible veterinary team and our dedicated Care Staff supporting her every step of the way.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated to Laxmi’s care — your generosity is making all the difference for her. We’re all committed to getting her back to feeling better. ❤️
❤️Laxmi Update❤️
Thank you for keeping Mimi in your thoughts and for the generosity of those who have already donated—it means so much to us.
Sadly, Mimi’s condition hasn’t improved. Despite antibiotics, IV fluids, and Banamine, she’s still battling a fever, nasal discharge, and no appetite. Tests are underway to determine the cause, including for a possible viral infection.
Today, she’ll return to Luvin Arms overnight, as CSU’s livestock services are closed on Saturdays, but she’ll head back for care first thing Sunday. This is a challenging time for Mimi and our team, but we’re committed to her recovery.
If you’re able, please consider donating to help cover her care. Your support makes all the difference.
