Allie's Walkabout is an All-Inclusive off leash care dog facility. Your pal will romp and play the day away whether he's here for doggy daycare or boarding, he'll love his time at Allie's! Allie's also offers grooming, training and pet photography. As a client of The Dog Gurus and a member of IBSPA, education is a top priority. Our staff members receive over 20 hours of classroom training combined

with another 90-100 hours of peer mentor training. During their first week, a new employee will attend Knowing Dogs 101 and the next week is Knowing Dogs 201. After each section, they will then work with a peer mentor to demonstrate what they just learned. Our focus on training provides a safe environment for your pal and peace of mind for you.

Did you know… Teaching your dog to “place” or lay down promotes calm behavior and better control. For “place,” guide your dog to a specific spot, reward them, and gradually increase duration. For “down,” lure them with a treat to lie down, pair it with the command, and reward. Practice with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to build obedience and impulse control.

Here at Allies, we believe that every shelter dog and cat deserve a home for the holidays. That's why this year we are asking for donations for shelters or animals individually. When you come in to drop off your dog, there will be a flyer with three QR codes to scan for specific shelters to donate to. If you are wanting to donate to a specific animal, we will have their picture along with another QR code on what they need/want. And if you are really feeling the holiday cheer, consider opening your homes to add another family member for Christmas. We will be doing this until the end of December. Lets help clear the shelter, one step at a time!

🐾Happy Tip Tuesday!🐾

Did you know… Figure 8 harness and Gentle Leader are tools designed to improve leash behavior. The Figure 8 harness gently tightens around a dog’s chest or back when they pull, encouraging loose-leash walking without causing discomfort. The Gentle Leader, a headcollar that fits over the nose and behind the ears, redirects the dog’s head to discourage pulling and provide better control. Both options are effective for training, but the Gentle Leader may require proper introduction to ensure the dog is comfortable wearing it.
