Upcoming January Classes starting soon.

Basic Foundation Skills - Monday, Jan. 13th is FULL at 6pm. You can ask to be on a Wait List.

Intro to Odor 1 - Monday, Jan 13th has 1 spot available at 7:30pm

Puppy Fundamentals - Wednesday Jan. 15th at 6pm has spots available. This is a great class for socialization for puppies under 4.5 months

Beyond Basics/ Intermediate - Wednesday Jan. 15th at 7:30pm has spots available. This is a good class for those who want to continue from Basic Foundation class and work on some Canine Good Citizen exercises (We usually do a Cgc prep class later in the year)

All classes run for 6 weeks except Basic Foundations at 7 weeks. If interested in these classes or registering, please email [email protected]. Intro to Odor 1 and Intermediate classes have prerequisites needed.

It's going to be very cold this weekend. Please keep your pets safe.

If you have a pet who does not like to potty in snow, you can place a tarp on the ground (weighted so doesn't blow away). Then when it snows, grab a corner and shake off the snow and remove the tarp to jet then potty.

Here are a few simple winter safety measures you can take to make sure you keep your dog warm, happy, and healthy throughout the winter.

Congratulations to our Puppy Fundamental class students. We have Team Stobie and Rachel, Team Goose and Megan, and Team Sailor and Tish. All three passed their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test too!

We all had a fun time and the puppies were exposed to a variety of items which is important at this age. We look forward to seeing them in other classes.

This week, our Puppy Fundamentals class students worked on handling, grooming, and husbandry. This is really important to work on with your dogs. Starting early and making it as positive of an experience as possible, is beneficial in the long run. This also allows it to be easier for your groomer and veterinarian as well.

One thing about husbandry type behaviors that is said is SLOW IS FAST. These are skills that last for a lifetime.

A new Puppy Fundamentals class will start in January. If you have a puppy who is younger than 5 months at the start of class, your puppy is eligible for this class. Email us if you would like to be on the list.

Congratulations to Teams Sage and Cally, Hank and Suzanne, and Ollie and Rhonda for completing Basic Foundation Skills class. They did a great job, and we saw improvements from both dogs and handlers.

Not pictured is Birdie who we missed seeing.

The next Basic Foundation Skills class is in January. If you are interested, send us an email. We will hopefully also have an Intermediate/Beyond Basics class if we have enough interest.

Congratulations to Team Jackie and Patti and Taru and Tiffany for completing Intro to Odor 2 class which focuses on vehicle and exterior elements. They both did a good job and learned how to work these elements.

Our next scent classes are in January. We will likely have a few drop in sessions in December as well.

Let's welcome Stobie, Sailor, and Goose to Puppy Fundamental Skills class! Stobie and Sailor are Littermate Portuguese Water Dogs. Their owners did not know they lived in the same area until they got their puppies. Goose is training to hopefully become his owner's next Service Dog.

In this class, they worked on surface exposure and trying out a variety of interactive toys (not shown). They all did great and had a fun time.

Our next Puppy class (under 4.5 months) will likely be in January. This is usually a 6 or 7 week class. If you're getting a puppy in the new year, email us at [email protected] to get on the list. AKC S.T.A.R. puppy will also be available as an official title starting in January 2025.

If you want to try Fast CAT or just want to let your dog run, K9 Splash Zone will have one this Sunday in Brookville, OH from 10am - 2pm. No experience required but do need you bring a releaser/catcher or ask someone who will be there.

THIS Sunday (Nov 24th) from 10am -2pm at K9 Splash Zone in Brookville OH, we are offering Fast CAT Fun Runs for $10/run or 2 runs for $15. No experience required. Please bring your own releaser - we will not have enough volunteers to supply releasers.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather yesterday to come to our event. We hope everyone had a good time despite the less than pleasant weather. Congratulations to all that titled and had passes. We had a number of titles in Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. We were close in Retriever too. We know for some of you, it was your first venture into dog sports, so hopefully you found it fun and welcoming.

Thank you to all our volunteers who were amazing helping with set up from early morning in the pouring rain to saving tents from wind gusts to keeping test sheets dry to tear down at the end of the event. We know we could not do these without them.

We are already planning our spring FETCH Test with a theme of Birds, Bees, and Butterflies! Stay tuned for more information next year.
