NKY Dog Owners: For February’s National Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, Friends of the Shelter, Inc./ SPCA KY is sponsoring a portion of the spay/neuter fee so 50 NKY dogs can get sterilized for only $50!!

Dog owners in the following 7 counties are eligible: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Pendleton. Appointments are on February 11, 12, 18, 19 and 25, so you must be available to bring your dog on one of those days. Check-in is at 8 am and you must pick up your dog the same day at 3 pm.

Appointments will go fast, so if you want to participate, email [email protected] with the words “FOTS Special” in the subject line and give the following information in the email:
1. Your name, phone number and address
2. Your dog’s name, s*x, age, breed, and weight
3. If you are not available on any of those specific dates.

If you are a lucky winner of an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the date of your appointment and the pre-operative instructions.

If you do not get one of these spots but need financial assistance for spay/neuter, you can still apply to FOTS for a spay/neuter voucher to use on a future date at https://www.friendsoftheshelterky.org/SpayNeuterAssistance.

🐾We are open for business until 12/13.

🐾12/14 we will be in the Christmas Craft Show at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cold Springs, KY from 10a-3p.

🐾 We now have the availability to send invoices to your email, AND accept credit cards. There is a 3% up charge to your order if you decide to pay via CC/debit. If you want an invoice but want to pay through Venmo/cashapp there will not be an additional fee.

Good morning Kenton County!! I'm spending my day at Kenton County Animal Services. It's sure to be a busy day because the team here is partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation from now until Dec. 11 to waive ALL adoption fees. Here's hoping some of these incredible pets can find their furever homes before Santa comes this year. 🐶🐱

Thankfully, Randi here was willing to pose with me... the others acted like I was a chew toy. How rude?!

We are completely out of wet food! 🥫

Wet food is a great way to help our dogs gain weight, take their medication and is a great treat for our more stressed friends! We are running really low on our wet food supply and we would be so grateful for any donations of any adult dog wet food!
