Let’s keep this party going!!

Meet Dean! He is a one year old cattle dog mix that is dog friendly. Dean was seized from his owner for severe neglect to Dean and his siblings. We recently won that court case as well!! So now it’s time for Dean to find his fur-ever home!

Dean made it through his previous life of neglect and through a flood at the shelter so he is one tough boy! He acts like he has never met a stranger. He is a very happy dog. If you want to add this amazing boy to your family text us at (423) 863-6372.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!! 🙌😊🥳😢

We won our court case and it’s now time for Sam and Graham to find their fur-ever homes!!! Sam and Graham didn’t have the best start to life. The bottom picture is the crate they both lived in. When we got to the property with the sheriffs department, these two were the only ones left alive. We found numerous remains of other dogs.

Sam and Graham have been fostered since the day they were saved by an amazing woman Ellen Reinhardt. If you have followed their story on Ellen’s page, then you know these amazing boys have come leaps and bounds. And they still love us humans even after everything. They have been through so much together that we do not want to separate them.

Due to the weather, the Margaret Mitchell signups were postponed! We have pushed it to Tuesday February 25th, 2025! This will take place at Steel Rails Coffee shop downtown from 2pm to 4pm! We are only signing up cats!

Red was adopted today!!! Red was part of a neglect case that we recently won.

Since September, Robinsons Animal Hospital has housed red and his brother for us. We can’t thank them enough for all they have done for these precious boys.

Ronnie is still looking for his forever home. He is around a year old. He is very shy at first. He is dog friendly. No small kids. Very food motivated! If you are interested in fostering or adopting, you can call/text (423) 863-6372.

Mark those calendars! Our annual chili cook-off is in the books for March 14th at Erwin Town Hall. If you would like to make chili for the contest, please be at Erwin Town Hall at 4:30 pm. We do have some great goodie bags for the winners! We will have our new hoodies, t-shirts, and hats available for purchase. Let’s have a great time!

‼️ MISSING ‼️ 1 year old Border Collie Mix named Ozzie

"Went missing today from the Fishery Park area after he got out when part of his fence was down. He is super energetic, sweet and playful. If he is approached, he will come to you, and will likely jump, but won’t bite. He has a collar on with his name and my phone number on it.

If anybody has seen him or has any information, please reach out to me and please keep a look out."

Unicoi County Animal Shelter is a small shelter with a big heart! Our wish list includes: *Cat Litter- both clumping and non-clumping

*Wet/Canned kitten/ puppy/cat/ dog food *Dry cat/dog food (Whiskas, Purina, Pedigree, Iams, 4Health, brands not heavy in dyes please to avoid tummy upset) *Blankets, bedding, towels *Bleach (germicidal) *Fabuloso, liquid dish soap (Dawn), laundry detergent, and other cleaning supplies *13 gal trash bags *Milkbones *Dog/Cat treats and chews *Dog/Cat toys *Peanut butter *Paper towels *Stainless steel bowls and buckets *Gift cards to Walmart, Tractor Supply, and Petsmart are always welcome!

Adoption fee: includes spay/neuter, booster vaccine, rabies if applicable, flea treatment, and deworming. Microchip can be added for $10.
