This past week we have been hard at work turning the shop into something fresh, new, and beautiful! 🥰

I cannot thank Richard Ruleau with Ruleau’s Drywall enough for all his hard work. He skimmed, fixed and painted all of the drywall in the shop! I couldn’t be more grateful for his magic touch, all the time he spent and his expertise. I love the new color! ✨

After the walls and painting were finished, my husband Zack and I got to work on the floor and trim. Our new polyvinyl floor is a huge improvement from the painted concrete we previously had! It is softer on dog’s paws, and easier to grip which will especially help our senior pups who visit. I am truly blessed with a husband who always finds a way to complete my crazy projects and make my dreams come true. ❤️

I absolutely cannot wait for everyone to see the new and improved Combs & Collars! All of the equipment is back in, setup will be completed tomorrow, and I will be back open on Tuesday. And don’t forget Megan Metcalf will be joining me this week in the shop, SO excited! ✂️🐾

2023 sure was a wonderful year, 2024 has some big shoes to fill! Happy New Year everyone! 🥳

EXCITING NEWS!

Beginning January 2024 you will see a new face in the shop - Megan Metcalf will be joining Combs & Collars! She has almost 4 years of professional grooming experience and will be a great addition to the shop. Megan and I used to work together when she first began her grooming journey, and we are so excited to be reunited again! Megan is the wife of Kaleb Metcalf and mother of her two boys Casen and Carson, and three fur babies Daisy, Boo and Cleo. Boo is a puppy from the Rock Puppy Mill, and Cleo is a Delta Animal Shelter alumni. 🐾

As Megan is already a professional groomer she has many existing clients that will transition with her. If you are an existing client of Combs & Collars you will be able to stay on my (Courtney’s) schedule if you choose to. We are currently in the process of learning and transitioning to new booking software to better mingle our schedules together. So everyone please welcome Megan, I am so excited for you all to meet and get to know her!

Combs & Collars will be closed the week following Christmas (December 25th-29th) as we transition. The shop will also be getting some well deserved updating done during that week, and will look like a brand new building all over again! 2024 is going to be a great year! 🥰🐾

There is currently a mystery respiratory illness spreading among dogs. It presents itself as sneezing, coughing, runny nose/eyes and lethargy. Here at Combs & Collars we have been doing extra disinfecting, are mostly one-on-one and keep dogs separated whenever possible. I ask if your dog is presenting ANY of these symptoms to please cancel your appointment. There will of course be no last minute cancellation fees associated with this. As of today, 11/21/23 we have not had any cases come through the shop or any dogs with symptoms. I want to make it known if we do come into contact with what I even suspect to be this illness, the day will be canceled and the shop fully and meticulously disinfected. Our number one goal is to always keep all the dogs in our care safe, happy, and healthy! Take care everyone, let’s hope this blows over soon. ❤️

Now offering teeth brushing! Add onto any service for just $10 - and take the toothbrush home with you! Just ask at check in! 🦷 🪥 ✨

*Teeth brushing will not remove hardened on plaque and doing so just once every few weeks will not benefit your dog’s overall oral health, but this is a great way to introduce your dog to a daily habit you can start with them at home! I unfortunately will not be able to offer this service to those with dental decay or other teeth problems.

Today was a ✨GOLDEN✨ day at Combs & Collars! We just so happened to have 5 of those good boys and girls all on the same day!

A little throwback for your Friday morning - crazy to think the shop was ever this empty!
Lots of late nights, blood, sweat and tears went into making the shop what it is today! We definitely learned lots of DIY’s, and how to be amateur drywallers 🤪 I think it’s ready for a new paint color though don’t you?!

We’re already creeping up on the TWO year anniversary 🥰🐾 And 6 years of experience for me!

Hello everyone! I know back to school is a busy time every year, and in turn many appointments are either being no showed or canceled last minute. With my already full books and trying to squeeze everyone back in, I just wanted to make a post letting you know if you are unable to get to your appointment in the upcoming weeks - I have almost zero availability until the end of October. If you need to cancel an upcoming appointment for your dog please reach out to me as soon as possible, and I’ll see what I can do for you 😉

Also the week before Christmas is filling up quickly (how crazy we’re already thinking Christmas 🤪), if you like your pup beautiful for Christmas please schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Thanks again everyone! I have the best human and furry clients a girl could ask for 🤩
