Dave Johnson has over 23 years of dog training experience and has trained well over a 1,000 dogs throughout his career. He finds that giving a dog praise gives owners a stronger bond and has always been a more effective training method for him. He was a police K-9 handler to two K-9s and has completed K-9 school along with 40 hours of LAPD E Collar Training. He's trained police K-9's for Gladstone
, Michigan twice and for Alger County, Michigan. He has taken an inexperienced K-9 handler and a donated dog (with no police K-9 pedigree) and was able to train them to become certified with NAPCH (National Association for Professional Canine Handlers). In 2015, Dave was recognized by Fox TV6's "UPside" program for his work with the Delta Animal Shelter. Received the 2020 Humanitarian of the Year award from the Delta County Animal Shelter for his work with assisting in the seizure and behavioral rehabilitation of the dogs from the Rock, MI Puppy Mill. He enjoys volunteering his time with the Dawgz Adapt Program at the Alger Correctional Facility for dogs that are considered at high risk of being returned to the shelter due to behavioral challenges. Dave enjoys training family dogs through all stages of life and teaching their owners. Training times and days are flexible based on clients' needs. Carlton Isaacon has over 8 years of K-9 training experience with 10 years of active-duty US Air Force Service. He's handled and certified 3 different Military Working Dogs all trained on bite work and either trained to detect explosives or narcotics. He has worked and trained with hundreds of different handlers and trainers from numerous agencies including the US Secret Service, all branches of Department of Defense, FBI, Customs and Border Patrol, ATF and many different local law enforcement agencies all around the US. His career has led him to be deployed 3 different times totaling 1.5 years to different locations in the Middle East as either a K9 Trainer, Handler or K9 Overwatch. As he's developed as a trainer, he started to train other people's dogs in his free time to challenge himself and gain different training perspectives in the dog training world. Carlton also volunteers his time with the Dawgz Adapt Program at the Alger Correctional Facility for dogs that are considered at high risk of being returned to the shelter due to behavioral challenges.
