Join us at DAS today, Saturday 11/2 from 10:30am-11:15am for Happy Tails Story Time! ❤️📚 This program is for kiddos ages 3-6 years old (older or younger siblings are of course welcome too). There will be animal related stories, followed by a craft and an opportunity to meet some furry guests! 🐾 There is no fee for this program, but we always appreciate participants bringing an item from our wish list to donate to help the animals in our care. 🥰

Turner was adopted today and has officially left the Dawgz Adapt program! His new mom stopped by on their way home and we could tell he is so happy and going to be so spoiled! Happy trails Turner! ❤🐾

Hey there, my name is Ziggy! I am an 8-month-old neutered male Medium Mixed Breed. I came to the shelter as a lost pup and sadly was never picked up. It has been a bit confusing for me with all of these new changes, but I have started to feel safe and show my loving and kind personality. I am very interested in toys and can't wait to find a family who will love and cherish me and teach me how to enjoy all of the thing's life has to offer. We have exciting news!! Starting tomorrow, Saturday 11/2, the shelter will be open to the public every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 11am-2pm! We are excited to offer more hours so even more shelter pets have the opportunities to find their forever homes! Cats and small critters can be seen during these hours by walk-in, dogs will still require an approved application and meets by appointment. 🐾❤

This cat has been hanging out with a black cat on the Brampton Cut Across. Currently safe with finder not at the shelter but will be live trapped and brought to the shelter if not claimed. Sadly, we have reports of a deceased cat just before the bridge in Hyde, coming from Escanaba. It's mostly white with a little black. If you are missing a cat that matches this description, please check this area. 😔

We have a fantastic pair of Guinea Pigs looking for a new family! Ginger and Roxy are 3-year-old females who are so sweet and curious. They enjoy snuggling up together and snacking on veggies. Stop in and meet Ginger and Roxy during open hours M-F 12-4! 🐽🐾❤
