I want to say thank you to all my supporters, all the incredible clients that have shown favor, all the people that have come along the way and have guided me, mentored me, helped me and opened my eyes to change.

What a way to get around town in Roma. Can we do an instant replay? Yes, next year.

Obedience Training. I love working with dogs!
Thank you for watching my video 🙂 there is nothing more fulfilling than helping others while I learn more about myself. Each dog I work with blesses me more and more.

This is a little cocker spaniel sh*tsu that I’m training to be more social and confident. Notice the nose to nose interaction (the briefer the better when first meeting) but you can see when she looks to me right after. She is looking for answers to the interaction. I encourage her with verbal praise (that’s her reward) for looking to me and good behavior, and it builds some confidence. Every positive interaction is a step in the right direction.

About me..
I’m here to help you gain a better understanding about your dog. We will get to the root of all the questions you have and maybe help our dogs understand us better too, because a relationship is a two way street. It can be a very confusing world for our furry friends, especially if they are trying to guess what to do next. We can speak English, but most of us are pretty limited in speaking dog. The evidence shows that the most effective way is through rewards; so when we reward behavior that we consider desirable, it is positive reinforcement.

I use positive reinforcement and the mirror method, incorporating a clicker. It is my philosophy that dogs look to us more like the way we look to our mom or dad, vs a leader, so respect is essential in helping your dog do what you say.

We come from very different worlds, but in many instances there are cross associations that we can relate to. We all want to share our lives with someone caring and someone that truly loves us. Like us, dogs too want a warm heart and a caring hand to guide us. It would be nice to have someone in our life that led us down the right path, someone that we can trust and always go to for answers. Yes, dogs want these things too. In these aspects, they want what you and I want.

I have a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and I’m a graduate of Dog Training Internship Academy (DTIA) in San Francisco and have achieved a Certificate in Dog Training and Behavior Consultations. I am also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator and can administer the following tests: AKC Star (first level), Canine Good Citizen (second level), AKC Community Canine (third level), and AKC Urban CGC (fourth and most advanced level).

My most rewarding endeavor is working with dogs and dog owners. Dogs are my passion and my purpose in life. I trained under the tutelage of Janis Bradley and Jean Donaldson. My experience with dogs began in San Francisco and continues now in Southern California as I have been training dogs for 7 years.. I want to make the best out of our experience together, so lets incorporate lots of fun and playtime mixed in with training. Working with your furry friend should never be a chore.

Hello and good evening! Many dogs are so distracted that they can become obsessive about sniffing wildly and pulling in every direction. I spoke recently about idea and exercises that can help you to connect better with your dog. If your dog doesn’t listen to you when you call their name, it’s likely that their brain is in overdrive and unstable. If you allow it then you are encouraging it. Basically you are teaching your dog that it can do whatever he wants to do. There must be feedback. Asking for a behavior without a reward is boring for a dog, especially if the behavior is difficult. The more difficult the behavior the bigger the payoff should be. There is an economics here and we will go into more detail about that in a later post. Thank you for watching! 🐶

This is a follow up of my last video about reactive/distracted dogs on walks. This dog is not just distracted and didn’t pay much attention to its owner on walks, but he was also very reactive and aggressive towards any dog he saw, even from a long distance away. Here he is with his owner at the begging of our training sessions. Watch closely and you can see when he begins to react and then lunge.

Sometimes it's hard to get your dog to focus on you on walks. With a little patientce, along with creating strucure for your dog. He will trust you more and want to look to you for answers, rather than making the wrong decisions and behaving badly, he can look to you to show him a new bahavior, look to you for some affection and praise and maybe a pat on the head or a food reward. It's all rewards for him. It comes from you directly to him. Stay tuned for more videos and thank you for watching!
