At Wonder Dog Training, we believe in dog-friendly, science-backed, positive reinforcement training methods.

But what does positive reinforcement training mean? 🤔

The concept is based on the principles of operant conditioning, in which behavior is determined by its consequence. With positive reinforcement, we encourage desirable behavior with rewards and redirect or ignore unwanted behaviors.

Over time, the behaviors that have been reinforced win out, and the unrewarded behaviors are extinguished.

When used correctly, positive reinforcement training is extremely effective and results in a happy, confident dog! Plus, this method is fun for the dog and dog parents as well!
