To prevent your pup from contracting parvo, it is essential to get them vaccinated. A puppy’s first set of vaccinations happen between 6 and 8 weeks old with boosters every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks old. When your dog is brought into our clinic, they will be assessed by us and we will advise you on all follow-up dates. Always look for clinical signs of parvo in your dog, and if you notice symptoms, contact us at (802) 879-6311 to book an appointment for diagnosis. Don’t leave it until it’s too late!

As of 7/22/24 there are updates to CDC’s August 1 dog importation rule: If you are bringing a dog into the US from a dog rabies-free or low-risk country (ie. Canada), you now only need to fill out the CDC Dog Import Form. Other forms are no longer needed. The requirements for dogs arriving from high-risk countries have not changed, and these dogs are still required to have additional documents. Read the full requirements: www.cdc.gov/dogtravel

The solar eclipse is fast approaching, and we are getting questions about how to protect pets' eyes!
Fortunately, dogs and cats do not stare directly into bright light or into the sun so there is nothing to worry about.
We still recommend keeping you pet inside, on a leash, or near you as the heavy traffic and increase in activity may startle or frighten them.
