Saturday sun and a swim? Lucy says, YES!
Bette the bunny, shown here when she arrived and before being groomed, was shot at with bb guns and suffered trauma. She was left behind by renters and was pregnant. Bette lost her litter but is doing well now. She is permanently injured but gets around.
Thanks to donors Bette was spayed recently and is an indoor bunny. She goes out in nice weather and is a sweet little bunny.
Thank you @greenacresfarmsanctuary and the Sheriff's Dept for rescuing Bette.

Emergency pig rescue today!
Two potbellied pigs were left abandoned in a wooded area with cougars, coyote packs and guys threatening to shoot them for sport.
The two pigs had made a nest in a blackberry thicket and were still sleeping when volunteers arrived just after daybreak today. We cut through brush and were able to coax them out into a temporary corral of fence panels. They are now at Out to Pasture and soon be seen by our vet. One has tusks growing into his face causing ulcers and infection. Both need neuters, hoof trims, deworming and vaccinations.
Thanks to everyone who donated to our Rehoming Fundraiser. We couldn't do this without you.
Look closely to spot the action in this video.
We can't imagine what would cause a person to throw a little bunny out the window of an apartment complex. Willy was in a carrier but it must have hurt. Luckily a kind woman saw the carrier fly out the window and rescued him.
Willy has been with us months now and finally got neutered yesterday. It was a long wait to get an appointment. Willy will be able to join the other bunnies in 30 days and have happy life.

Just in time before the rains come! This morning the concrete got poured into the frames outside the big pig house by Troutdale Sand and Gravel and Wayne Johnson Concrete.
Our big farm pigs sure like to root and were starting to sink up to their knees in the winter mud. Thank you donors helping us provide shelter for pigs previously headed to slaughter. Now happily enjoying their lives.
Enjoying kale today thanks to the folks from Everett Community Garden.
Grandma has been placed! Thank you Kelly for once again stepping up to add an older, harder to place goat to your herd of older goats.
Grandma will have a wonderful life!

Gonzo's day for hoof and tusk trims.
Barbie getting her daily sunscreen spray. Pink pigs sunburn easily and can get skin cancer especially on their ears.
Hank and Tank had until September 1st to find new homes after their caretaker lost their farm in Clatskanie. They are now at Out to Pasture enjoying treats and the air conditioning in their stall.
Vet care including neuters is scheduled for this week. Adoption by Shangri-la Sanctuary in Cheshire pending.
Thank you to Virginia from @occra.pdx
for transporting the boys today. And to Teresa and Becky from OHSTAR (OHS emergency rescue team) for helping unload.

Barbie in the belly rub trance.
Walter enjoying a cool summer shower-
courtesy of the hose.
One of our older pigs, he was left at the feedstore years ago after the owner announced he was going to shoot Walter for no good reason. (Other than he was bigger than the potbellied pig breeder had promised).
The feedstore saved Walter's life and asked us to adopt. We picked up Walter the same day and he's been with us 12 years now.
