Frank is the survivor of a coyote attack at his old home. Coyotes started jumping a six foot fence in broad daylight with humans present in Portland. For five years, locking up the chickens and ducks at night kept them safe. Along with having a dog.

The coyotes became more emboldened, and the property is no longer safe.

Frank is at Out to Pasture now but will be part of a transport going to in a few weeks. Frank will have duck buddies and a safe home at Sanctuary One.

How not to move a llama off a compost pile.
Coming up behind him and giving him a push is not the answer.

Arlo kicked John in the head, who fell over backward and briefly lost consciousness.
A lesson from The School of Hard Knocks.
(Defined as the education one gets from painful experiences) John says he's learned a lesson he won't soon forget.

A bear is suspected of attacking livestock on a nearby property. (Actual bear not available for a photo). The trees and nearby National Forest are beautiful but also home to predators.

We're setting up electric perimeter fencing to discourage large furry predators.

Lucy then and now. Lucy was over 100 pounds underweight after being confined in a small pen and forced to produce litter after litter. Her body was wearing out. Lucy was so happy to run around the pasture and get into the mud the day she arrived over two years ago.

Public enemy number one? Does this goat look dangerous to you?
Neutering completely changed Momo's behavior. His old home wanted him gone because he liked to butt and they were afraid of him

After neutering and moving to a new home, Momo is the sweetest goat with a new herd of goat friends.

Neutering made a big difference and gave Momo a chance for a happier life. Why we promote neutering. Thank you donors for helping make this happen.

Momo went his new home yesterday! He needed to be moved asap from his old home in Portland. Thank you to Shauna and family in Eugene for adding Momo to your herd of goats. He will have a pasture and goat buddies to play with.

Thanks to donors for making it possible for Momo to get neutered and other vet care to get him ready for adoption. Together we are making a difference!

Bonnie and Clyde are living in a backyard in the Gresham/Portland area. They have been well loved and well cared for, but their caretakers are moving. Both goats are three years old. Bonnie is a Nigerian Dwarf and Clyde is a neutered Nubian mix.

Bonnie and Clyde are for loving as pets and not for eating or breeding.
