Happy Friday, kids. You've made it through another week. To reward you, here's Nelson, an 18-month-old Tibetan mastiff/Bernese Mountain dog mix. He's super sweet, great with dogs and cats and on the quiet and shy side. He came in with several others we have who were oops litters from a breeder of very questionable repute who breeds Tibetan Mastiffs, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Great Pyrenees that landed in a shelter. Yes, they're adoptable. Interested Nelson adopters should email [email protected]. He's in Nashville and can travel where we do in the mid-Atlantic/Midwest and Southeast.

Happy Friday, kids. Let's all say hello to Temple, a one year old drop-dead gorgeous Great Pyrenees mixed with a tiger. Temple is super happy, friendly and kind of a dork. Temple is not very large at 60 pounds and I am pretty sure most of that weight is in his brain because Temple is a very smart boy.

Temple is an intelligent, inquisitive and fun dog. This is not a dog for people who want a dog who didn't even realize they left for work 8 hours ago. This dog needs mental and physical activity to keep him happy. Temple is good with other dogs and with people. I do think given his age and his bounce, he would be best with kids over 10. He can be with cats, but he will bother them for sport, so dog-savvy cats would be necessary or no cats.

Temple needs a home with people who are capable of handling a smart, active dog and a fenced yard or a dedication to long walks/jogs would be required. He would be an excellent hiking companion.

Temple is in Nashville and can travel where we do. Interested would-be adopters should email [email protected]. Spread the word for him, please.

This, kids, is Re*****on. This elderly 11 year old +, 110-pound Great Pyrenees is a big, fluffy dog in every sense of the word. You will not convince me he isn't channeling Albert Einstein with that shock of wild hair.

Remi is a very sweet, utterly charming and completely harmless big guy. He is slow and plodding and friendly to all. Re*****on came in to rescue in very poor condition and he has come a very, very long way. His thyroid level at one point measured zero, he was barely able to walk and he was a mess. He is now a fully functioning dog. With thyroid meds on hand (they are inexpensive) and once a month he gets an injection of Librela which has allowed him to run stairs again and his skin is finally starting to look normal. The vet thinks he may have had a stroke at some point as his right eye is a touch droopy but aside from that, it hasn't affected him.

Re*****on is great with kids, dogs and cats. He is housebroken and well-mannered. He loves car rides. He especially loves snacks. He is lazy and sometimes has to be checked for a pulse. In short, he's pretty perfect. He's also very elderly. For that reason, we are placing Re*****on as a hospice adoption even though he may well have a couple of years left in him. There's no adoption fee for him, but we will crawl over applicants with the proverbial microscope as his well-being is absolutely our priority.

Re*****on needs a home with a fenced yard, he would adore a giant dog door to go in and out at will and he requires a very fluffy soft dog bed. Snacks and petting are mandatory as well. He is in Nashville and can travel where we do in the mid-Atlantic/mid-west states. Interested would-be adopters should email [email protected].

Spread the word for this guy, please.

For your viewing pleasure, let's all gaze upon the fluffy wonder that is Marco. Marco is a 6 year old, 100-pound Great Pyrenees. He loves people, dogs and cats. He'd so good he'd probably help a wounded squirrel out. This guy is mellow, friendly and just about perfect. As per the usual with Great Pyrenees, he's terrible off leash and will require a securely fenced yard. In addition, Marco would like a fluffy dog bed and all the snacks. If you ask me if he sheds, you can't have him.

He's in Nashville and can travel where we do. Interested adopters should email [email protected]. More pics in the comments.

LOOK WHO NEEDS A HOME! Meet Martha Stewart! She can't cook you a gourmet meal nor can she offer you tips on entertaining, but imagine how much fun you could have while waiting at the vet's for someone to come and get you and announce, "We can see Martha Stewart" now! That should turn a few heads!!! This girl is about a year old and is very affectionate and playful. She's waiting for her forever home and is here right now at the RESCUE. She's striking a pose for you in this picture to convince you that you should come and see how cute she really is. Contact Jim (916) 275-0868 or email [email protected] Website: www.spgpc.org
