We’re sharing this fund established by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union to assist farms and ranches impacted by fires. Any support is greatly appreciated. Farming is hard enough in the best of times….
We met these folks today at the Longmont market- new meat and poultry farm off Apple Valley Road, having a grand opening shindig today. Exciting!
Hey that’s us! (The little guy…)
Sustainability spurs hydroponic growth in Northern Colorado
Hey folks, just FYI, we will no longer be at the Estes market on Thursdays. BUT- you can always find us at the farm, , 1040 Kenwood Lane #2, Tuesdays 9-12 and Wednesdays 3-6. Lettuce show you around! We’ve got herbs and shoots… some nip for the hip… chard in the yard and tatsoi for your… boy? 🤷♂️
It is a beautiful morning at the Longmont Farmers Market! We hope you and yours have a delightful weekend, whatever you have in store.
It’s market season!
You can find us at two markets this Saturday. For you Fort Collins folks, this is the last Winter Market of the season.
And, we are THRILLED to be full-time vendors in Longmont this year! Come say hi and kick-off the season, even though our gorgeous weather may not hold.
Happy Thursday, and may your day & weekend be as lovely as this Teodore butter lettuce!
We survived! About 3 feet in Estes Park. Now it’s springtime, apparently. Hope everyone had a nice snowstorm 😊 ❄️
😍
This dish used to be called ‘the three sisters’. It has changed now to ‘G. O’Keeffe’ in homage to Georgia O’Keeffe and the colors of her landscape painting in northern New Mexico in the middle to late 20th century. Corn sauce, Guajillo Chile oil, scallions, black bean purée, corn & bean fritters, pickled red onions, micro-cilantro, Toasted Pepitas & pinon nuts. $26 on the menu and it is delicious.
We would love to see you at the farm (1040 Kenwood Lane, Unit 2) this morning or tomorrow afternoon. These lettuce need forever homes!
We are stepping-up our produce donation program, and we are asking for your help. A small donation can go a long way in helping community-members in need.
Soon! 😍
Things are coming along… not long now…..
We hope wveryone has a great New Year and a happy and healthy 2024!
Big news! Please read for info on our operations and availability this winter….
After years of farming in our two facilities, we have decided to consolidate into one. Our second location, at 1040 Kenwood Lane, #2, is spacious enough to house our entire operation, and is significantly cooler in the summer, which has been a challenge at the old spot.
We’re excited about the move! But, it will be something of an ordeal, so we are shutting down temporarily to accomplish it. We are doing markets and our regular open hours at the farm until November 18, and then shutting down. Our plan is to begin growing again in January, with produce available in February. We will let everyone know about availability, hours, etc. around that time. This will also be our first mini-break in six years, which is welcome!
Please note that as of November we are no longer stocking produce at Kind Coffee or Estes ProActive Fitness. Tremendous thanks to them!
Aside from our Tuesday and Wednesday hours at the farm for the next couple of weeks, you can find us at the Fort Collins Farmers Market through November 12, and the Longmont Farmers Market through the 18th.
We are so grateful for the individuals and businesses of Estes Park and the Front Range that have supported us these years, and we look forward to providing fresh and healthy produce for years to come!
This space is going to be full of good stuff! (minus the lift…)
Announcing Cool Cat Farms at EP Greens! Really we just wanted to thank everyone who has bought our cat grass and catnip, and remind all cats in Estes Park and the Front Range that we have those available along with our human food. We will also be donating 5% of the gross sales of these products to the Estes Park Pet Association. Hit us up for the good stuff! (Image by Ashlyn Johnson)
We ❤️ the Fort Collins Farmers Market!
It’s a lovely morning at the Larimer County Farmers' Market; we hope you and yours have a fun and bountiful weekend!
Hmm… looks like the catnip is ready to come down! We hope everyone has a wonderful summer weekend with the treats of your choice 😊
We’re happy to provide lots of reduced-cost broccoli micros this month to the Market Days for Older Adults program at the Larimer County Farmers' Market! Microgreens are a great source of vitamins and nutrients for folks who may not have reliable access to fresh produce. Thanks to CSU Extension for this great program!
If you would like to support your local community with similar donations, we will be providing goodies to food banks in Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Longmont. More to come!
We hope everyone has a pleasant holiday weekend, and we hope to see you Saturday or Sunday at the Larimer County Farmers' Market or Fort Collins Farmers Market, or next Thursday for opening day of Estes Valley Farmers Market (yay!).
Have you tried the micro cilantro? It’s outrageously strong! Like, 10x normal cilantro flavor. We highly recommend it. Unless you’re one of the people for whom it tastes like soap… in which case, so sorry.
It’s snowing, but summer is just around the corner! (Oh please oh please…)
We want to let you know where you can find us this year:
Estes Valley Farmers Market- Thursdays starting June 1st
Larimer County Farmers Market- Saturdays starting May 20. We are thrilled to be back at Oak Street this year!
Fort Collins Farmers Market- Sundays starting May 7
Longmont Farmers Market- this market has already started! We are guests and will be there for a number of dates including TOMORROW, as welll as April 29, and most of November.
And of course, you can always find us at the farm Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening, and lettuce, shoots and micros are always available at Kind Coffee and Estes ProActive Fitness!
We are grateful for all of your support, and we hope everyone has a wonderful season full of fresh and delicious food!
Spring is in the air! Sorta? Well, in any case the summer market season is right around the corner. We’ll post updates on where you can find us this year, but in the meantime remember that you can get fresh and pretty goodies at the farm, 1207 Graves, Tuesdays 9-12 and Wednesdays 3-6.
We’re going to forego our open hours this afternoon in light of the forecast for continued snow. Shoot us a message if you’d like to pick anything up Thursday or Friday. Aya the Farm Dog says ‘stay warm and eat treats.’
We like the red tatsoi because, even though they are all the same seed, some are red, some are green, and some are red AND green. Be like the tatsoi; show your true colors! 😏
Don’t worry kitties of the Front Range,
we’ve got your high-quality nip needs met! 🐈 🌱 😊
Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with us last week. We are OPEN normal hours (Tu: 9-12, Wed 3-6) this week, as well as Christmas and New Year’s weeks to come. You can also find us at both the Fort Collins and Cheyenne winter markets on the 17th. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Hannukah, and a great new year full of happiness and good health.
Hey y'all, we are going to forego this morning's open hours in light of the continuing snow. There are no lettuce emergencies! Stay safe & warm and we will see you tomorrow from 3-6pm
