Puppy Preschool is now enrolling for summer sessions!! For puppies 8-16 weeks of age (must be enrolled/started by 14 weeks)…. Get your newest family member started off on a good “paw”! 🐾🐾

A few words from a previous graduate’s owner- “After bringing home our new bundle of joy, we went straight to Carrie to begin puppy preschool. The sessions were very informative and helpful in learning and socializing our new pup. We signed up for continued training after that, including off leash training once she got older. Due to her training, Sapper has grown up to be a wonderful, well rounded dog that all of our family can enjoy. She loves going camping, on walks, adventuring at parks, to the kids ball games, and to the neighbors where she loves to run and play with the neighborhood dogs. We even have fun dressing her up for Halloween and attending Halloween parties! Wherever we go, we know can do this with Sapper on or off the leash. She listens well and we have no worries. Thank you Heritage Canine!”

More from a previous graduate’s experience-
“I first met Carrie 16 years ago when I got my first dog, Kane, a chocolate lab. Four months in and after her gave me broken finger I didn’t think I could keep him. He was an “alpha” dog and I was ready to give up, but Carrie came to his the rescue. After his first lesson he responding to “no” and sitting. By the last lesson he followed all verbal and hand commands, including staying on his place until released. He lived a full 13 years of life and responded to commands until the very end. When I got Millie at 11 weeks, I wondered again what I had done! I knew we had to start puppy preschool immediately. Millie is a Bernedoodle who is full of energy and never stops. She learned quickly Carrie was in charge and fell into place. She did puppy preschool, in home training, and group classes. She knows both verbal and hands commands, as well as off leash training. She loves to hang in the front yard and chase her stick, something I could never have done without off leash training. She is a doodle full of excitement, which can be overwhelming at times but the training has made her an enjoyable dog. She is excited to show her brother Ollie the ropes when he starts his in-home training this month!” 🐾

ATTENTION NEW PUPPY OWNERS!! Puppy Preschool is enrolling for the summer!!! Preschool is for puppies 8- 16 weeks (must get started by 14 weeks) and includes one private session and three group sessions. Getting started with your puppy at a young age helps pave the way for a great furry family member! 🐶🐾

“Enzo is our 3rd dog we have trained with Heritage Canine. After adopting him at Licking County Humane Society he started with the Puppy Preschool class. Enzo has gone through each of the levels of obedience training and he is now a well behaved gentleman both on and off leash. He recently passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test on his first attempt with flying colors. 🥇Enzo absolutely loves seeing Mrs Carrie at Heritage Canine when we attend group training classes or when she dog sits for us. “We were new to this whole owning a dog thing! It was 2020, and we got a puppy along with a lot of other people😂 We started Puppy Preschool and were immediately put at ease as Carrie helped us navigate this new world for us! Our kids got to be involved which was so fun!! Weston got trained by Carrie,too, and we were just amazed by his obedience after being in her care!! We affectionately call her “Aunt Carrie”❤️ She also takes care of him when we go on vacation too!! We are so thankful!!” 🐾🐾

PUPPY PRESCHOOL is enrolling for puppies 8-14 weeks! Getting started with proper socialization, consistency, and knowledge helps pave the way for an enjoyable new member of the family!!

Here’s another update from a previous graduate’s owner-

“As an elementary school counselor, it’s always been my dream to partner with a therapy dog! Our family brought Coco home at 8 weeks old last February with the ambitious goal of having her “school ready” by the fall! Miss Carrie came highly recommended by so many friends and, as soon as we met her, we knew why! She was so kind, put us right at ease, and outlined exactly what we needed to do to put Coco on the path towards therapy certification. Puppy Preschool was such a vital part of Coco’s early days! It taught us so much about how to set her up for success, both as a therapy dog and the perfect family pet! Coco transitioned to residency training, for both on leash and off, and successfully started the school year with me in August! She has grown so much this past year and we have Carrie to thank for her wisdom, talent, consistency, and patience— I needed a lot of patience, especially those first few months! 😉 We continue to attend group classes and Coco passed her Canine Good Citizen test last week, putting us one step closer to her therapy certification! Looking back at this past year, I am confident to say we could not be where we are today without Heritage Canine! Coco goes most everywhere with us and she is constantly receiving compliments for her manners and friendly disposition. We are so proud of her and so grateful for the partnership with Carrie — we could not have done this without her!” - Jen

So my main request when we came to Ms. Carrie was that Ranger would walk politely on a leash. Mission accomplished! Ranger (Sheepadoodle) is currently 3.5yrs old. He started preschool at 9 weeks old and continued his training with basic and advanced obedience training… and still loves to come hang out with me! 😘
