With kitten season comes ear mite season! Here is a video of our most recent ear mite find. These buggers are microscopic mites that dig into your pets' ears and can cause infections if not treated. If you have a cat that goes outside or has recent contact with new rescues/fosters and started itching their ears or shaking their head- it's best to come have them checked out by a vet in order to get the best medication available and a proper cleaning! Some over the counter medicines for ear mites may be dangerous and contain harsh pesticides that are toxic! We are always open to discuss the safety of various products if you have any questions! -Dr. Jackie
