Peach season may be coming to an end, but Toaster isn't ready to say goodbye to summer quite yet! 🍑

We offer several color options for pups who are comfortable with the grooming process. We have semi-permanent dyes that last months, pastes that last a few weeks, or chalks that last a few days. All of our color products are non-toxic, safe, and specifically designed for pets!

Leo truly appreciated the pampering he received from our wonderful Salon Coordinator, Corey and stylist, Irene!

Since joining Life is Golden in May, Corey has proven to be a fantastic addition to our team. He has been apprenticing with Irene and is now taking appointments for our 18 Karat a la carte services.

Coco came in for a little clean up with Irene! He just needed a face, feet, and sanitary trim.

Yes, we take giant breeds!
Sierra is currently our largest and fluffiest guest. She comes to see Irene every month for her 24 Karat Cleanse and Cut and it still takes over three hours!

Our certified, genuine, American-made, 100% good boy, CEO (Cutest Executive Officer), Dug, hopes you have a lovely and safe holiday!

He's very excited to show off his colored tail! This look was achieved using our specialty pet safe colored chalk.
Chalk is a great way to add a little pop of temporary color. The color typically fades in a few days and can be washed and brushed out.

It's time for an update on Life is Golden's intern, Harper! Irene's girl has been doing so wonderful, our CEO (Cutest Executive Officer) and model for our logo, Dug, has decided to hire her on full time as an Assistant to the CEO. Luckily she accepts payment in the form of belly rubs and chew toys. Her assistant duties include playing tug of war and scheduling nap times.

We have a (not-so) little friend hanging out in our parking lot today so keep an eye out for any slow moving visitors!

While we would love to clip those claws we know it's best to leave critters alone unless they're in immediate danger.

If you ever need to move a turtle or tortoise out of the road make sure to move them in the direction they were headed and never place them in water.

As promised, here's Harper! Our little intern is on the fast track to full time employment. Our CEO Dug is thrilled with her skills so far, and very excited that those super sharp puppy teeth have finally started falling out! (But he did have to have a stern discussion with her about pooping in the office.)

You may have noticed in her Wet Dog Wednesday post last week that her eye was closed, don't worry, she didn't get shampoo in it! At just a few weeks of age it was injured by a littermate or maybe stepped on by mom accidentally. Even though her breeder got her medical attention immediately, the damage meant her eye would never fully develop. Since it's stuck at the size it was when injured she has no sight out of it and her third eyelid stays closed at all times. She doesn't let it slow her down one bit!

Living with a pet stylist means lots and lots of baths. Especially when that stylist also happens to have an exclusive training program that helps puppies learn how to be comfortable and cooperative in the salon. Our lovely Harper is this week's Wet Dog Wednesday!
Poor baby is only 19 weeks old and has three full baths and half a dozen nail trims! But Master Groomer Behavioral Specialist, Irene, knows that early desensitization and training in the salon is vital for all dogs.
