Our Co-founder, Owner, and Stylist Mentor, Irene completed her Master Groomer Behavioralist Specialist training and received her diploma in August 2022. Life is Golden Pet Grooming is the only full-service salon in the Harrisburg area owned and operated by a Master Groomer Behavioral Specialist (MGBS).

Master Groomer Behavior Specialists are professional Pet Stylists who incorporate behavior analysis and modification into our grooming services. We specialize in working with dogs who have difficulty being groomed, using cooperative and fear free techniques.

Our salon policies, design, and layout were carefully constructed using science based behavioral principles to help pets have the most comfortable grooming experience we can offer.

All of our Stylists at Life is Golden are Fear Free Certified, and we love their program. The MGBS diploma program is even more specialized, with a much deeper understanding of behavior and training as it relates to pet grooming. As Stylist Mentor, Irene passes on this knowledge to our Stylist Apprentices and staff.

We will always place the safety and comfort of your pet first. This is why we are a small, one-on-one, appointment only salon, dedicated to elevating your pet grooming experience.
