Meet Piper. Piper's journey with us has been a gradual transformation. Piper was initially timid, her trust reserved for only a select few. But with patience, love, and a lot of snuggles, Piper has emerged from her shell, revealing a heart as big as her goofy personality. While Piper may still may be cautious with new faces at first, her curiosity to make new friends overtakes. She's the epitome of the "goodiest goofiest" pup. Whether she's chasing her a ball or attempting to gracefully navigate her surroundings (spoiler alert: sometimes she trips over her own paws!), Piper's antics are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
We think she'd thrive in a home with another furry friend. She's a connoisseur of toys, a devotee of peanut butter, and a diva who insists on the coziest blankets for her naps. While Piper continues to build her confidence, she's still wary of sudden loud noises and would prefer a calm environment without young children. A fenced-in yard would provide her with the space to explore safely, while a patient owner with experience in nurturing timid dogs would be the perfect match to help her flourish.

Marnie, our beloved pup, had a rough past before coming to us. Initially, she had fears of strangers, requiring nearly a week of patient coaxing to get her out of the kennel. But once she felt secure, gone was the timid soul, replaced by a spunky, high-energy companion overflowing with love and enthusiasm. Marnie's joyous spirit shines through as she revels in play, romps gleefully, loves to go swimming, and eagerly chases after balls.
Marnie spent time in a foster home where she made remarkable strides in overcoming her nerves with strangers. She even graced adoption events, showcasing her charming personality to potential forever families. She was adopted, but returned to us after a month. It wasn't her fault really– her exuberant playfulness clashed with the laid-back nature of a senior cat in her new home, despite living with multiple cats in her foster home. However, she craves the companionship of someone who is willing to invest the time, effort, and commitment required to a dog in a shelter.
While Marnie's exuberance sometimes leads to pulling on the leash and occasional lapses in manners, she responds well to corrections and is highly motivated by treats. And once she's had her fill of play, she transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug, seeking warmth and comfort under blankets. At around 3.5 years old, Marnie thrives in the company of other high-energy, rowdy dogs. However, she would be best suited to a home with a fully fenced yard and without very young children. Frosty
Imagine the heart-wrenching fear of losing your bed or your safe haven. Now imagine, that being your “sanctuary” amidst the clamor of the shelter. For Frosty, this fear is a haunting echo of his past. So many dogs go crazy in the kennels..Frosty seems afraid to lose it. He came in as a stray, and we can’t help but wonder how many bitter cold days he spent before knowing the warmth of our shelter. If you take him outside of his kennel, he barks, cries and as soon you go to take him back he beelines and immediately comforted by seeing his blankets and toys there.
Frosty went through a lot it seems, but now, he needs a forever home, one where he has a big bed, couch, toys, treats and most importantly a forever kind of love! At 3-4 years old, Frosty embodies serenity and companionship, effortlessly charming both humans and other dogs (he likes females a little more) and shows positive interest in cats. Frosty is strong, and can work on his leash manners but he is very food motivated! Cheeseburgers and Frosty Paws ice cream are his favorite! Frosty can melt any heart with his affectionate nature.
Yet, Frosty yearns for more than just treats and toys—he craves the warmth of a loving embrace, the comfort of a cozy blanket, and the reassurance of unwavering devotion. We DO NOT recommend apartment living, and we do highly recommend a fenced in yard for this sweet boy. Frosty just needs someone willing to give him the understanding, patience, and love he needs. CHESTER IS GOING HOME!!!!!! STAY TUNED for videos, his going home story, and all about this morning! We want to show a video of Frosty. In the video, Frosty is crying at the door to go back in. This was less than 2 minutes after he was brought outside to play. What we can only imagine is fear of losing his bed, his space, and maybe even warmth. Anytime Frosty leaves his kennel he is anxious to get back to it, and he beelines straight for his bed and checks out to make sure his toys, his food/water bowl, and blankets is still there. A good amount of the time we can distract him to play a bit, and have fun but it breaks our hearts to think about what his past must have been like to be so nervous to lose his stuff. He deserves a new beginning….
Frosty is absolutely the kindest, sweetest and most laid back dog that there is. He is so chill, that’s he may put his frosty name to shame! He loves to smother you in kisses, loves to get belly rubs and just loves to snuggle on your lap! Plus, he will sniff out any type of treat you have and use his adoptable eyes to sway you to give him a taste! He is about 4 years old, and he is good with other laid back dogs. He would be great with anyone who is looking for more of a laid back companion. Is that you?

🔊VOLUME UP🔊 7 months ago, Alabama and his sisters found themselves here, plucked from a sad situation. They arrived frightened, withdrawn, and undernourished. At first, they clung to each other in a corner, hesitant to venture out. It took time—about a week—to coax them out and even longer to earn their trust enough to leash them. Alabama, was more uncertain than his siblings. But here's the thing about Alabama: he's more than meets the eye. In his kennel, he's a bundle of energy, jumping, and climbing. But take him outside, and he melts into your arms. Whenever someone comes by his kennel, you’ll see in the video how he reaches out his paw to cling to you, and in the next video…even months later when we call him out to the outer portion of his kennel to clean…he is still so nervous. That video was taken yesterday…
Yes, Alabama has his quirks. He needs to eat separate from other dogs and some help polishing his manners. But don't let that overshadow his true essence—he is yearning to belong. He's been overlooked time and time again by people who come into the shelter who only see his exuberance, not his vulnerability.
A year old, Alabama still waits for a place to call home. He deserves someone patient, someone experienced in nurturing confidence, and above all, someone willing to give him the chance to flourish. We are all products of our environments, and Alabama's rough start shouldn't define his future. Will you be the one to show him the love he so deeply craves?

Our Honey is our extraordinary good girl whose story began being found on the side of the free last August. She was scared, such sunburned ears and tail that touch was painful to her. She had scorched paws, cuts, and scars all over her body. Yet, even though she shook with fear, she gently nosed our volunteers. The pain in her eyes was heartbreaking.
Today, it shows the power of her strength, and resililency. At being 1.5. old, she’s went through so much! Honey is living a good life, but we want to give her the best life! We would love to find this pretty lass a forever home. Honey's past may be a mystery, but her future is brimming with hope. This dainty gal loves to get dressed up, and hates being outside when it’s cold. At just over a year old, Honey is the perfect companion for someone with a big heart. Is that you?
