We rescued this big gray turkey from death by coyote, car, or angry wild tom from the crossroads and now we are stuck with a grim, posturing guy in the pen besieged by our dogs frantically barking on the outside. I hope the owner steps forward and reclaims him before we all calm down and admit him to the family. This is me hiking up the long hill, after a long chase, carrying my feathers-ruffled burden.

My first ride on Dusty! Thank you, Courtney Musser for training her and helping her be such a calm, sweet trail horse! Dusty has come a long way from her beginning as an unhandled mare in the slaughter pen.

Many trips to the John Deere dealer and another repair service that still resulted in a non-running tractor literally drove me to tears when I tried to fix it myself. When DeeAnn found me in a state of distress, she and David leapt into action, and called Tom Witt who fixed it in TEN minutes! I have a running tractor!

Here are new puppy Sparky in his SECURITY hoodie and his mentor Buck securing the perimeter of the farm in the pouring rain. Meanwhile, the horses all crowded into the cozy barn lean-to.

All bundled up and it's still kinda chilly in this 160 year old house with 1'x3' stone foundation and thick oak walls. The thermal panes are cold as dry ice.

FootOx folk rock band staying at Imagination Farm At Captains Creek. Dinner was frittata with all our garden's bounty with fresh fallen peaches for dessert. A banjo was found upstairs and rest of the instruments came out, so I fell asleep to beautiful sounds from the porch.

Courtney Cheyanne Musser and I sold our first rescue horse, Moose, to become a dressage schooling horse. When we first saw him on the Peabody Kill Pen site, we noticed his beautiful overtracking and engagement and said, "WOW! " Moose needed fattening up, refreshing of ground and mounting manners, and then was ready for his new home! We're proud of Moose!
