We hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend! Here on the farm we have been busy with all our pigs! It has been hot here and the pigs love cooling of in the creek and munching on frozen bananas. Take a look at all our pig on the farm! Are you interested in adding Kunekune pigs to your homestead? Well here are a few reasons why we think Kunekune pigs are great for a family homestead. They have an easy temperament and get along well with other livestock and pets. What we really love about kunekune pigs here at our farm is that they primarily graze for their feed and they don’t tear up or root the soil. This is due to there distinct short snout. This helps keep down on cost which is always nice for the budget. You will need to supplement with addition feed and hay pellets during their growing period and during colder weather. They are also very prolific and let the whole family interact with there piglets from birth. This is especially great if you have younger children in the family. If you are interested in raising Kunekune pigs for meat they have a succulent red marbled meat that is cost efficient to raise due to there small need for additional supplements besides grazing. These are just a few reasons why we love our Kunekune pigs here on the farm!

We are a 10 acre family farm located in Eufaula OK that breeds and sells registered AKKPS Kunekune pigs. Our pigs are like family here. They are free roaming and love relaxing by the pond or looking for acorns to munch on. They enjoy hanging out by the house looking for belly rubs and love begging for treats. We currently have two beautiful sows named Ginger and MaryAnn and a handsome boar named Sir.Gilligan.
