We hope you all had a joyful Easter! Our board and train pups had an amazing few days of training. Pepper, Milo, Monte, Grace, Gus, and Pearl excelled in their sessions at the park, handling distractions like champions! We are incredibly proud of this group. Keep an eye out for more updates on these pups and others in our board and train program! Everyone is doing so well! ⭐️
Go Buddy, go! We are incredibly proud of the progress this amazing dog has made in our program. When Buddy first joined us, he struggled with bolting on leash and showed extreme reactivity towards other dogs – it was quite a challenge for his owner. If another dog got too close, WATCH OUT! He had exhibited lunging behavior towards people, had a habit of chasing cats, and barking excessively at home. However, we’ve been diligently working on addressing these behaviors.
We are thrilled to report that Buddy has already shown significant improvement. It’s truly inspiring to witness his transformation. We can’t wait to see the final results next week. Stay tuned for more updates!
Heeling practice with Akeena 💗
It has been an absolute delight training Sophie the Corgi, who is just 4 months old, over the past few weeks. We focused on all aspects of puppy training. When Sophie first arrived, she was very fearful of the world and anything new in her environment. She would often stop walking on the leash and refuse to move ahead out of fear. However, through our training program, we have successfully taught her our communication system, boosted her confidence at home and out in the real world, and worked on socialization. Sophie has made great progress in learning puppy obedience and now has a bright future ahead of her as a confident girl navigating this big world without fear & with lots of new skills. 😎 She even met quite a few good friends along the way. We are incredibly proud and happy for you, Sophie!
Hello from Luke Skywalker, the most handsome Australian Labradoodle. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to train with this intelligent pup over the last few days. Although his time here was brief, it was both enjoyable and productive! This good boy and his family are leaving with a solid training plan and the tools they need to continue their progress and be successful back at home. 😁👍
Buddy and his dad had an outstanding training session today. We dedicated the day to reviewing the impressive progress Buddy has made in the past few weeks, as well as teaching his dad how to effectively communicate with him and continue his training. We are delighted to have been able to help set them up for success. Prior to training, walking Buddy was challenging, but now his owner is amazed by the results and thrilled to see what Buddy can do. Previously, Buddy struggled with impulse control, anxiety, and overexcitement, making it difficult for his owner to walk him without being pulled around. We are incredibly proud of their progress and eagerly anticipate seeing more. Farewell for now, Buddy - we’ll be cheering you on and eagerly anticipating updates!
What is the most effective approach for dealing with aggressive dogs as a dog trainer? Our experience has shown that it's not about confrontation, punishment, or asserting dominance. Instead, the key lies in remaining calm and neutral while prioritizing safety, allowing the dog to acclimate to your presence, and exercising patience to nurture a positive relationship. It's crucial to avoid correcting a dog and attempting to eliminate unfavorable behaviors without first establishing a bond and a sense of trust. Building a connection and teaching a communication method to achieve mutual understanding is essential before guiding them through life. Take Opal, for example, a dog with a complex mix of fear and overconfidence. Despite her challenging behavior, over the past three weeks, we have focused on building a relationship with her, boosting her confidence in necessary areas, and guiding her toward favorable behaviors while discouraging unsafe ones. The result is a dog who now possesses a comprehensive communication system that her owners can utilize, along with a deeper understanding of life. She is happier, more fulfilled, and confidently navigating the world in a positive manner. Despite facing challenges and having been given up on by other trainers, we remained committed to Opal and her family, and the results speak for themselves.

Impressive! Ori, a participant in our 90-day service dog program, has made spectacular progress. Once fearful and reactive, he has transformed into a confident service dog. Recently, we completed a session at the mall during the bustling Christmas season and worked on some tasks afterward. Ori’s growth has been exceptional, and we are incredibly proud of him! We are confident that Ori’s mom will benefit greatly from having him back as her service dog. 🐕🦺
Exciting Coco news! This lovely pup has been excelling in our board and train program, showing remarkable progress. She has fully mastered obedience, including a reliable recall and leash manners, and continues to grow more confident in various real-world settings every day. This cheerful and occasionally anxious pup has made impressive strides, including managing her nervousness and overexcitement around cats and other dogs during play. We are thrilled to announce that we are sending her home with a comprehensive communication system that her owner will be able to use. We are so excited to set these two up for success together!
I’m certain that many of you have noticed the charming face featured in our recent stories. Allow me to introduce Dorie! This incredibly endearing and spirited girl is currently undergoing training with us. Though small in size, she possesses remarkable intelligence. She has already mastered the full communication system, understands ecollar language, excels at the “place” command, and has made significant progress in addressing her issues with excessive barking, interrupting interactions between people (no hugging allowed she says!), door knocking, and demanding food and attention during meal times. Additionally, she is making excellent strides in learning recall and leash manners out in the world. Keep up the great work, Dorie!
