5 things to feed in spring:

🐝 bee pollen (especially sourced locally) has a whole bunch of benefits, most notably the benefits to the immune system and the exposure to compounds that could reduce your dog sensitivities/allergies in the presence of blooming plants loved by pollinators! Source from your local beekeeper, at the farmers market, or
🧄 repel flea + ticks with fresh garlic or an herbal bug powder that includes it. I’ve used both &
It’s a fabulous alternative to those risky internal/topical chemicals. Combined with regular grooming and an essential oil spray, this has kept the pests away!
🌼 dandelions are one of those gifts from nature that so many take for granted! The leaves bloom and roots are wonderful supporters of liver health & immunity. Add the leaves to a green blend or steep the roots in a tea! Be sure to harvest from safe places that aren’t treated with pesticides.
🍵 tea made with nettles, ginger, dandelion root, and chamomile are my favorite to share with dogs! Not only is the added hydration a wonderful addition to any meal, there are so many soothing and supportive benefits to each herb. It’s fun to learn about them and which would support your dog best, the book by has been a great resource.
🥬 seasonal produce scraps! Reduce your waist and provide real whole sources of vitamins and nutrients through the odds and ends of your strawberries, kale, carrots, broccoli, spinach or beets! It’s best to blend or steam before sharing, adding a few spoonfuls to their meals!
