MOOKIE daddy is going home through our 2-week foster-to-adopt program 💕

Hes a fantastic daddy to his 3mos old babies (also available) with his happy-go-lucky, whimsical energy, cajoling them and his neighbors, too into endlessly hilarious antics. Very people and dog social, everyone is Mooks' best friend. He lets me pick him up and carry him like a purse, isn't barky or yappy at all, is super playful and brings light to every room.

CHAPPIE is available for adoption through our 2-week foster-to-adopt program 💕

4yrs old, male, golden shepard x

Chappie is currently in foster with one of the amazing team members here at the ranch, and is a long time staff favorite. I love showcasing their favorites because when you're working with over 275 dogs, there's always a great reason why.

Here's what she has to say:

• peaceful with indoor cats, some chase drive for outdoor cats, squirrels, and deer
• good with dogs of all sizes
• mellow indoors but could be active enough for hiking
• quiet
• skittish with loud noises and some new objects
• can jump a fence or dig if left unattended outside for multiple days - (this note likely from his past life)
• knows sit and down so far
• eats and sleeps in crate
• working on free house training
• mellow
• goofy, does a wiggly dance when he's excited
• usually napping on the dog bed, looking out the window, sometimes watches TV
• not super playful or into toys yet but he has played with dogs at the Ranch, seems more playful with smaller dogs
• he is curious but still working on being brave about new things

BODHI is adopted 💗

She loves everyone and everything, is playful, patty-cake waggy-tail super smiley silly, and has the best attitude anyone could ask for in a pup. 12 weeks old, approx 12lbs, and beautiful inside and out.

MOOKIE, WOOKIE, & VICKIE are adopted!
Candidates in our 2-week foster-to-adopt program
Mookie is a WONDERFUL dad to his two babies, 1yr 20 # min-pin (?) X.
Cookie (fluffy male), and Vickie (smiley female) are 12 wks old and will be small. Mom must have been a fluffy sweetheart.

This little family plays endlessly all day long and sleeps curled up in a puppy pile. Daddy is a wonderful, outgoing, confident friendly pup and tends to the children with a superstar attitude. He will make a great companion to explore the world with, right by your side with a big smile.

The little girl, Vickie, is as outgoing as her dad. Daddy's little girl, she's ready for the slopes and hot cocoa by the fire.

Wookie, the floofie little boy is on the quieter, shy side. Every litter has its mama's boy 🫶, and this sweet little one appreciates a kind word and gentle hand.

Caspian, nicknamed Ian, is naturally gentle and affectionate. He enjoys leisurely walks, but he can get rambunctious when walking with his four legged friends or catches a good scent. Caspian loves a good game of tag, the faster the better. During quiet time, he enjoys a big variety of toys and keeps himself occupied. Caspian is comfortable in his home environment and knows a doggie door. Looking for a cuddler, Caspian is your boy, whether in the early morning hours snuggling before breakfast or some relaxing in the afternoon, he is at your side! This easy going sweetheart is looking for his forever home.

Zara is a step ahead with a great foster here at the ranch and learning all the important things needed to be a productive part of society. Well socialized and well-mannered with the house kitties and other dogs, rides great in a crate in the car to work every day, is crate trained at home too and puts herself to bed at night.

Zara Is submissive and sweet and friendly with all, puppy playful and ready for her forever family.

"Tiny dancer in my hand..."

Zuri is in foster with a fabulous staff member and has a lucky headstart as a 2-week foster-to-adopt program candidate. Zuri is well socialized with other dogs, is around the house kitties and does well, loves to watch and stay near her foster mom, and is a lovely little lap dog. Sweet and submissive. Crate trained both at home and for car rides, knows when bed time is and goes in her crate on her own (with her other foster friend, too!). Car rides still make her nervous, to be expected, and mom is helping her by bringing her to work every day. Zuri loves to be held and snuggled 💞.

Welcome to Meghans House
with much gratitude for saying YES by Rescue Ranch Yreka.

My Christmas wish this year was to save these baby girls from euthanasia at a small, under resourced, rural shelter I loved to help during the pandemic. It was a big ask to add these girls to the intakes already bursting at the seams here, but our prayers were answered and these sweethearts are Santa's bestest presents of all.

Ruby & Riley are approx 5 months old
Harper is approx 7 months old
Bonnie is approx 1 year old

Ruby, Riley, Bonnie, and Harper are worked with multiple times daily by yours truly, and I know you're going to fall in love with them as much as I have.

They're all ready for their next step to a forever home - our 2-week foster to adopt program.

Dove and Siskin are the super heroes of the family, super outgoing, rough and tumble wrassling and up to shenanigans throughout the day. Lark is the 'older sister' of the bunch, the mature voice of reasoning and mamas stand-in.

Mama Birdie wrecks my heart with her soulful eyes. Shes seen a lot and needs a quiet, loving home to shower her with all the love and soft blankies she's earned in her life. She's the kind I wish I could help understand she's safe - forever 💞.

Currently in a fantastic foster with other dogs of all ages and sizes, doggy door trained, socialized with people and a wonderful daily routine. Quiet, gentle, lovely girls with polite manners and a calm demeanor. In whatever their previous life was, they seem very familiar with being in a home and transitioned easily into another.
